Happened Sunday.  it made me check my home humidor when I got back Monday.  salted fish. specifically, bacalow.  Never tasted it before and hopefully never again.  it was a small section (just af

One of the reasons I like cigars so much is that I’ll get a weird scent memory every so often—not sure if it’s real or my brain misfiring. The last one was fresh linoleum: it was identical to the smel

*If any of you have taken a REAL BIG chance and tried one of these No-brands that feature an orange and black cigar band with white dots surrounding them (you know what I mean), just to see what it's like: IF any of you have tried them...am I alone in experiencing sour mash; school gym locker socks; firemen's sweatband; etc. taste? ?  ?  ?   ?

If school gym locker socks taste a bit like horse piss on a pile of hay, then Yes!

Chlorine. I was gifted a Paul Garmirian something-or-other several years back. I think the cigar was dropped in a pool at some point. A hideous tasting cigar.

Honeydew melon from a freshie RyJ Cazzie. Amazing but only one puff had the melon.

The toasted marshmallow in Fonseca #1s is amazing and unique as far as I can tell.

No off putting flavors as of yet.

Soap. Liquid dishwashing soap, to be specific. Many times. Typically fades after 30 secs or so.

Strawberry and raspberry on the RA Estupendos. Made me really question whether they were introducing oils/essences into the tobacco in some fashion. If not, that was fricking great tobacco! Had it reliably across the 2 or 3 singles I had.

Burnt flesh. Consistently shows up at the end of an epic 94+pt stick....

But seriously, Wine Gums. The cigars I had from the initial release of the Alec Bradley Tempus line had this taste in droves. Uber unique. For me.

:lol:Stay away from those 99 point cigars - you'll char your teeth!

And I remember those OR Tempus! Fantastic cigars until AB stopped removing the leaf stems - ruined the brand forever for me. A whole lot of leaf stems definitely contribute to a weird profile!

Just experienced this one for the first time. Strong soapy flavour for about 60 seconds 1/4 way into a RG Perla.

Uni - tastes of a tidal pool, fishy, briny, intense but not off-putting.

I love Uni in a cigar.   To me this is a sort of transition between a Sancho Panza driftwood, and the sweet popcorn you can often pick up in older smokes.

Not really "weird" weird, but I've had such a strong citrus flavor in a JL.2 that it felt artificial. And a SCDLH el Principe tasted so much brown suger it was so sweet I could hardly finish it.
