What it does have is razor blade sharp protrusions each side of its head. Care handling requred. Flathead are superb eating however. This one I released as dinner was already taken care of. 3
Popular Post Chibearsv Posted July 6 Popular Post Posted July 6 One more day in Saratoga. We’ve had a great time here, as usual. Perfect weather, won a few bucks, ate some great food, and relaxed. Hard to get much better. 20 1

Nothing like morning workouts with a cigar and coffee after only an hour or two of sleep - lol those were the days of youth!! 1
Popular Post Dlowil Posted July 20 Popular Post Posted July 20 rip to Rocky Mountain National Park to get the family outside. The girls loved every minute. The little guy didn’t mind the fresh air either! Got to put the new flat top griddle to work. Going to love this thing. 26 2
Popular Post Connoisseur Kim Posted July 25 Popular Post Posted July 25 Thanks to one of my Korean FOH BOTLs who uses wineador with Boveda 58s for CC storage encouraging me to try Boveda 58s, I just switched Boveda 65s to 58s in my singles tupperdor and travel humidor since I found humidity in my stash kept rising and rising (mostly 67-68/69%) due to hot summer weather. Although it'll take some time to reduce humidity to 58-65%, and Boveda 58 320gs for boxes tupperdor haven't arrived yet, I can't wait to do experiment with Boveda 58s soon since I'm really upset with humidity being stuck at 67-68/69%. 8
Popular Post BrightonCorgi Posted July 28 Popular Post Posted July 28 Our Volvo estate was involved in a car accident. My wife was driving and the last car hit out of three. A Prius hit a Tesla which hit her Volvo. Both doors on the driver's side need replacing. Rear quarter panel also needs work. The two other cars are expected to be totaled. The Prius driver resides in a wealthy town called Sudbury. Somehow the driver only had 10K policy! For whatever reason, my wife did not get rental reimbursement on her insurance. Our only alternative was to rent a car for 3-5 weeks which would cost 1,000's and sue the Prius owner. I thought that maybe we should just buy an interim car until the Volvo is ready and go from there. We purchased an '06 MX-5 Miata with a paddle shifting automatic. The first year for that transmission. Shifts pretty quick and goes into first on a slow-stop really well. Handling is a hoot. Turn in is quick and engine likes to rev out. Better handling than the S2000 I owned 20 years ago, but not as powerful an engine. Brakes are terrific. A friend said he'll buy it off of us for what we paid. Buying a car was the last thing I wanted to do. She's learning the paddles well. I don't think I'll spring left foot braking on her. The Miata is well suited for it. Both pedals are more centered for it than on other paddle cars I've driven. 15

Popular Post El Hoze Posted August 7 Popular Post Posted August 7 We are in Steamboat Springs, Colorado...there are two large fires burning about 100 miles southwest of us, I believe around 25K acres at this point. Moon is bright red. Can’t imagine the people on the front lines fighting this thing. 13

Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted August 10 Popular Post Posted August 10 We sold our house in The Hamptons this year, but my wife couldn't go cold turkey so we rented a house for a few weeks here. It was a great first week, with the family, plus a couple of their friends that are staying with us. There was a concert on the beach one evening. Some surfing. And a lot of great meals. 13
Popular Post Connoisseur Kim Posted August 11 Popular Post Posted August 11 After days of using Boveda 58%, my singles tupperdor's humidity is finally reduced from 65%+ to 64%. It'll still take more time to decrease even further, but I'm really happy with initial outcome as it always had an overhumidifying issue when I was using Boveda 65%. Hopefully, both singles and boxes tupperdors will have the same humidity range of 58-63% 7

Even without rev matching on the down shifts, it's only 3rd to 2nd you need to be mindful on. Wife is really liking the car, but longs for our Volvo back as well. Found out it was 10K in damage to the car 😒
