The Auld Alliance

Foxy landed yesterday evening and we caught up with good friend Adam Bauer at Brasserie Gavroche where chef Fred cooked up a gastronomical storm over some magnificent bottles of wine. 

Post  dinner Adam had booked the private room at "The Auld Alliance" which has claims to being the finest whisky/rum bar in the world. 

Not sure?

Here is Adam and Rob. That is only one wall of the establishment. 

 

 

I am not really a whisky guy. Rums are more my scene and I have to say i was impressed. 

 

Foxy loved the Bushmills collection

 

We caught up over some fantastic cigars and a couple of bottles of Champagne

I trust they kicked you lot right out of there for drinking champers among such a selection.

I am a whisky guy and I've lived near places with similar selections. I do miss it.

One wonders if they offer premium small batch artisinal colas to mix in with the rums.
