....your nomination for your Cigar of November 2017

The cigar that rocked your world this past month. The one that stood that little bit higher than all the rest

Tough one for me however the LGC Grandioso I had (2013) was exceptional.  John S was telling me how much he enjoyed one recently and so I thought I would revisit. Cascading array of sweeter spices.

Agreed on the LGC Grandiosos!  They have become quite stunning after 4 years.  In fact, after I tried one from my box just recently, I was going to suggest to you Rob, that maybe Ken and yourself should revisit this one for a deck review.  I remember that you both gave this one a great review back when they were first released, and you felt then that 3 to 5 years would   be just right - and I think you were spot on about this.

I had a few CORO this month that were brilliant (one from 14, one from 16 and one gifted unknown date). Medium bodied and all of them really had that creamy honey flavour you look for in cohiba.

For me it has to be the Ramon Allones Estupendo that was gifted to me by Fuzz.

It was like smoke the bastard child of RAG that got it on with a lonsdale.

Fantastic flavours, sweetness of fruit and honey, never overwhelming and perfectly balanced.

Fir me, it was a ROM NOV 16 Monte 80th Anniversario. Absolutely knocked my socks off.

Pretty sure Rob is referring to the LFC Grandiosos

I'm sure it was - at least thats what I was (in error) referring to in my reply - it was in fact the LFDC Grandiosos

Cheers Rob. In fact one of the Sydney FoH members (knowing him as I do I know he'd prefer to remain unheralded) gifted me a ROL Oct 2013 La Flor de Cano Grandiosos Asia Pacifico Regional Edition during Havanathon (late October) and I smoked it during the first week in November. Immediately after smoking it, I contacted this member to save up all the LFDC Grandiosis he had! I can confidently say that this cigar was the equal of the 10 year-aged Cohiba Lanceros and Coronas Especiales I have enjoyed periodically with Trevor, the founder of Cuban Cigar Website and a moderator on our forum, during 2017. I know that is high praise, but this cigar was that good.

I know that @ChanceSchmerr wrote up a similarly glowing review on the LFDC Grandiosos and posted it here (on the forum). El Pres, you've often exhorted how Asia-Pacifico Regional Editions take 5 years at least to mature, or show signs thereof, and how true it is in this case. These are starting to enter their peak period now.

We love either our 2011 RA Extras, 2015 Club Allones ELs or Mr Beaver likes a CoRo with some age on it

But not all faves have to be so fancy. A tasty Upmann HC when walking our dog in the forest rocks!

Hmm.. It was probably the Hoyo Epicure No. 1 the night before Thanksgiving. A real treat.

Out of all the cigars I’ve smoked recently, if someone who had never had a Cuban cigar came to me wanting to know what all the fuss is about, I’d probably give him (or her) an Epicure No. 1

ORG MAR 16 RyJ Cazadores by the campfire on a cold November night. Perfect for the situation though one of my leaders commented that the HdM E1 I had the next night "smelled nicer"...

My first ever Trinidad Vigia at La Terraza in Havana a few weeks ago.  It was fantastic. When these came out I wasn't interested as I saw them as a weak attempt to replace the Robusto T, which I love.  The Vigia was packed with flavour throughout.  If the next ones smoke like this, then Habanos may have righted a wrong.  Maybe.  :P

I had a Mag 50 ROTT last night that blew me away. Hard to believe it can get better with some rest...

Ugh... You guys gonna make me run out and grab some 50's? LoL Upmann has ruined me. What a great flavor profile to chase!

I have more different  Upmann than any other.

My November cigar is La Gloria MdO 2 from '13.

It has to be a Montecristo Dantes LE 2016 from which I experienced the flavor of clove, something I have not tasted in a cigar to date. And have not experienced since smoking clove cigarettes back in the 80's!!
