Biggest surprise was the Vegueros Tapados - I guess I was lucky because they were perfectly constructed and had fantastic wrappers. Best smoke was a simple Bolivar PC.

either the mag 50 or if we are talking nc cigars, it would be the don carlos 2007 anniversary series.

Don't really have much aged Cuban stuff right now. Buying boxes hoping to age them.

For me it has to be the Ramon Allones Estupendo that was gifted to me by Fuzz.

It was like smoke the bastard child of RAG that got it on with a lonsdale.

Fantastic flavours, sweetness of fruit and honey, never overwhelming and perfectly balanced.

Did I tell ya or did I tell ya? There is no way you are now getting rid of your box of Estupendos.

Cheers Rob. In fact one of the Sydney FoH members (knowing him as I do I know he'd prefer to remain unheralded) gifted me a ROL Oct 2013 La Flor de Cano Grandiosos Asia Pacifico Regional Edition during Havanathon (late October) and I smoked it during the first week in November. Immediately after smoking it, I contacted this member to save up all the LFDC Grandiosis he had! I can confidently say that this cigar was the equal of the 10 year-aged Cohiba Lanceros and Coronas Especiales I have enjoyed periodically with Trevor, the founder of Cuban Cigar Website and a moderator on our forum, during 2017. I know that is high praise, but this cigar was that good.

I know that @ChanceSchmerr wrote up a similarly glowing review on the LFDC Grandiosos and posted it here (on the forum). El Pres, you've often exhorted how Asia-Pacifico Regional Editions take 5 years at least to mature, or show signs thereof, and how true it is in this case. These are starting to enter their peak period now.

Sounds like I had better call down my box from the OLH.

SLR Asia Pacifico that I am smoking right now is a real treat. Rich, mellow smoke. Very enjoyable on a late November afternoon.

Has to be these custom robustos.  Claimed to be "unbanded CoRos from El Laguito."  Tall claim, sure, but that's sure what they taste like!  Have been blowing through them.
