dobbs Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 Okay, I get a lot from this community and don't feel like I have a lot to offer back. I can do this cigar - HDM Epi #1 music - always a mix of stuff, but right now the new EP from the Aphex Twin reading/TV - not much for TV, been reading "What is Life" by Schrodinger and "Deadeye Dick" by Vonnegut beverage - orange soda with cigars (try it!), beer everyday, and mezcal drinks (whiskey drinker at heart though) hobby - fishing and spearfishing, but broken leg ruined my summer

That's some fine woodworking!

She and Bobby are beautiful together on Looks Like Rain. Just perfect on top of Jerry's meandering yet poignant guitar. I could listen to that all day. To be fair to Donna, almost all of the bad ones are 72-73 where it was a crap shoot every night with the PA and monitor quality. She couldn't hear herself on stage. Wall of sound 74 and 76-77 she was always on point. Im glad I got to see her with DeadCo last year since I'm much too young to have seen her in the 70s. Good to see there are several other heads on the forum! Cigar: none in Particular, I'm still figuring out what I like so I have been all over the board lately Music: Grateful Dead and classic rock in general. Dead & Company just announced a fall tour yesterday so it looks like a lot of my money will go there instead of cigars for now Reading: I've been getting into crypto currency and most of my reading lately has been on that or cigars. Beverage: local craft beer. There are about a dozen breweries within 4 miles of me Hobby: guitar and live music. Particularly vintage guitars. Between concerts, cigars, new guitars and bitcoins, my wallet has been taking a serious beating lateky! 2
joeypots Posted September 8, 2017 Posted September 8, 2017 cigar: Smoked a few aged Cohibas in the last few days. '12 Sig VI, '08 Sig III, and a '03 Esplendido. I smoked the Esplendido as I watched the Pats choke last night and thought I'm glad I held off smoking these. Just fantastic. Also, because it was a bad event and a great cigar, last Saturday night I was puffing away on the Siglo III while driving and listening to loud music when I got pulled over and ticketed going 70 in a 50. Probably going to contest it. music: I had the remastered Sgt Peppers box set for a while and have to say, the remix disk is fantastic. Never heard the album except for the USA mono version. The extraordinary creativity of the Beatles remixed by Nile, George Martin's son, is on full display and the album holds up. I can't say it's rock and roll, and I probably wouldn't want a steady diet of it, but Sgt Peppers is clearly a work of pop music genius. reading/TV/cinema: The new Le Carre, A legacy of Spies, is in the kindle. Narcos season III hobby: Poggio the Cardigan Welch Corgi has capturered our hearts. 2

Corgis are just the coolest little dogs. We have a bunch in my neighborhood. They always make me smile when I see them. As for your Pats choking, ahem, they had their butts kicked by my Chiefs! Unfortunately it cost us Eric Berry for the rest of season. Out with ruptured Achilles tendon. .

planetary Posted September 12, 2017 Posted September 12, 2017 Fun topic! Cigar - Dip 2, Edmundos. Music - Not much. A little bossa nova, JS Bach, and the new Lana Del Rey as a guilty pleasure. Reading - Dan Simmons' Hyperion sci-fi series. Initially skeptical, but the first two books have grabbed me. TV - Current on GoT. Watching the second season of The Man in the High Castle (good so far!). Twin Peaks is next. Cinema - Dunkirk was a very good in media res war film. Atomic Blonde will scratch your 80s cold war itch. Beverage - Ramos Pinto 20 year tawny port. Hobby - After a decade, I'm delving again into the world of poker chips. Designing a custom set themed after the new (in the last 10 years) house. 2
