There are a couple schools of thought with rums. ..there are purists that feel adding sugar post distillation is not true rum. I find the Matusalem to more along the line of pure rum and RZ/Diplo/Zara to have sugar added post distillation. As long as one understands the dynamic, then Matusalem becomes a very high quality rum indeed (and I think it is). Still, I have my preference toward the RZ's and the like. short and sweet (*rimshot*) 1
