Christmas New Years Photo Competition

 Most of us will have some time on our hands over the next 10 days 

Progressively post a few photo's of your Christmas/New Years experience on this thread. Take us into your world. 

Greg will tabulate the photos and put them into a draw Jan 4th (one ticket per post on this thread) Winner gets an FOH ashtray and a 5 pack sampler picked by myself. 

Di and I arrived at the apartment yesterday.  A few drinks at the local surf club, a few more at the local hotel...a touch of fishing, all good so far

..so @El Presidente requests we let you into our world.. Here's a good one. We totally tried Vegemite today and got it on video. Some great new Aussie friends sent us an Aussie Survival Kit for Christmas with Lolly Gobble Bliss Bombs, Vegemite and Tim Tams. (all of which we'd never had) Our friends Linda and Jason were particularly curious what we would think about the Vegemite so we just had to get it on video and send it to them. 

A couple things about the video...

1. I'm the guy doing all of the talking..
2. I have mouth full of braces so chewing a large wad of bread is kind of a pain in the ass, so sorry for the lip smacking and talking with my mouth open. (if you have a thing about that, look away.. look away..)
3. The joke about "Suck slowly said the Bishop to the Actress..", came from instructions on correct methodology for enjoying Tim Tams. We were cheekily instructed to bite off a corner on each end of the Tim Tam and "slowly suck" our coffee up through it until it makes it to our mouth then shove the whole cookie (biscuit if you're an Aussie) in to melt. It's quite good.. It was referred to as the "Tim Tam Orgasm.." I totally see what that means. 
4. I'm southern and 'ain't sorry ;-) 
5. ..finally I was *not* attempting an Aussie accent at the end. More British..

Fortunately we can get em on Amazon and price isn't too objectionable.. One thing I noticed between the Tim Tams and LGBB is they are not quite as sweet as the US analog. I definitely prefer the reduced sweetness. Pretty interesting either way..

Pepperidge Farms imports Tim Tams into the States. Though, to be honest, they didn't taste the same as the Tim Tams you buy here. Maybe they change the recipe slightly. Plus, we get a whole bunch of varieties that PF won't import.

You're watching this on Christmas? Well, it beats Die Hard 2 and Groundhog Day on our local TV network. As for me, I will be catching up with this again...

The reason? As we get older and reflect annually on disappointments, financial, health, work and/or relationship issues, I need a reminder of the many people around me who make my life wonderful (including my family, friends and many good folk here on FoH)!
