MrGTO Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Sounds like a box a month is the most reasonable for me. Sent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk Good luck! If I were you I'd go ahead and buy a cabinet humidor.
joeypots Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 I spend most of my money on Havana cigars and skiing. The rest of it I waste.
PigFish Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 Cigars are not a luxury, they are a staple! Treat them as such. Cigars are a food group! Buy cigars first, and work everything else into a budget!!! Cigar budget... blasphemy! -the Pig 3
Martin3203 Posted December 3, 2015 Author Posted December 3, 2015 Good luck! If I were you I'd go ahead and buy a cabinet humidor. I have 2 wine coolers already. Let's get those filled first. LolSent from my SM-G928V using Tapatalk

santela Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 One box a month sounds like a good way to discipline myself. That's gonna be my new year's resolution. Currently whenever I'm over the budget I send my cigars to the OLH so the lady doesn't find out. Brilliant (evil) service from our host!
polarbear Posted December 4, 2015 Posted December 4, 2015 My "Cigar Budget" has always been a matter off: Pay the bills, buy beer, spend the rest on sticks 5 years ago (before a mortgage) my cigar budget was around $2k a month Now its more like $300-$350 I've amassed a large amount of sticks that I'm not a huge fan of, so selling them here and there helps to boost the budget when a "cant live without it" LE/RE comes along, but lately I've modified my buying habits for 2-3 boxes a month to 2 or 3 5'ers a month I hope things turn around in the future, but if they don't I'm still buying more than i'm smoking, so I'll never run out completely Just the luxury of being able to buy a whole box of fresh Monte 2's as soon as my current box hits half full is not as easy as it used to be
backslide Posted December 5, 2015 Posted December 5, 2015 I allocate my 1st of year work bonus for cigar purchases threw-out the year.

LordAnubis Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 I don’t have a budget. It’s basically don’t buy anything at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

LOL My Priorities (not yours) are; 1- Pay yourself minimum of 10%, more if you can (invest, make passive income) 2- Pay your bills in full, especially credit cards 3- Establish an emergency fund (to pay at least 3 months of bills, 6 is preferred) 4- Pay your debts as quickly as you can (mortgage, loans, etc.) 5- Set goals for remaining disposable income - including budget for cigars I know Ray is kidding, of course. But I've always treated cigar smoking as an expensive hobby, not a necessity, so necessities always took priority. Hey, that's just me... as an investment advisor I have to say that! 1
alloy Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 My budget is limited to the two wineadors I have. Which are almost always at capacity.
luv2fly Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 What budget? Wife buys what she wants and I can only do the Christmas sampler until next year!?
Danimalia Posted January 1, 2018 Posted January 1, 2018 Lately I've had extra cash so I've been buying a lot. No doubt there will be dry periods coming through. I don't buy cigars as an investment, and I don't use credit. So there are periods where I'm only ankle to afford like a single 10 box in a month. Sometimes I can't buy any at all. From April until September of 2017, for example, I bought zero cigars. Couldn't afford any.
Stump89 Posted January 2, 2018 Posted January 2, 2018 Have daughter number 3 on the way so I'm putting the cigar budget on hold for a while. Luckily it's a good cause lol. 1 1
