Webbo Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Running out of space in my humidors so I'm thinking of using 1 cab or box to put the odds and ends of various almost finished boxes together, so 3 or 4 RA's 3 or 4 Bolis etc all in 1 box. Should free up some space, any downside?
soutso Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 as long as they fit and they're all Cuban - all good
Popular Post Smallclub Posted April 3, 2015 Popular Post Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) Don't do that. Each marca will fight each other, then beetles will hatch, and mold will occur. Lotusguy Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Yes but it will also induce Plume. But only with the cellophane on

Really? I don’t really know myself because I haven’t stored different cigars together for a long time, but I have heard the opposite from other on this forum. I have heard it doesn’t make a difference and flavors don’t migrate. Maybe you’re kidding around?
Popular Post Shikar Posted April 3, 2015 Popular Post Posted April 3, 2015 ^Yes. He was kidding. It's ok to store different cigars in the same box obviously as long as they fit. Folding cigars is bad. Regards. 5
Smallclub Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Yes I was kidding. I've never witnessed a fight between cigars from different marcas… 2
teamrandr Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I keep a destop humidor just for my 5 packs and single CCs.

Popular Post AndrewNR Posted April 3, 2015 Popular Post Posted April 3, 2015 I have witnessed a fight between marcas.. It was dreadful.. The URN even got involved.. Thats the United Rollers Nation fyi... There were rumours Forenseca had resorted to cannibolism... Cohiba apparently had threatened to use nuclear weapons.. Trinidad accidently used chemical weapons on its own people... Poor Partagas was anexxed.. It was a brutal and dark time that I only talk about to prevent it from occuring again!, Please don't mix your stoogies in your stash or SS as we refer to it.. I won't even begin to mention how no manner of smoke signals was able to save even a single D4 or Epi.2 who signed a treaty together to try protect their common wealth.. Strangely.. No Cuabas were harmed and Quintero stayed neutral the entire time.. 6
Geo17pip Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Yes I was kidding. I've never witnessed a fight between cigars from different marcas… Lol ok
stunod Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I don't think it matters. If I have room I store the same cigars together, but when I get my robusto sampler, I put them in my humidor draw net to each other. No big deal.
bbguardsp Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Short term for lets say a few months is fine. If you plan on aging for years then I would recommend separating them. You can also take the wax paper that came with the boxes and create a "barrier" between the marcas as an extra measure.

TheGingercon Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Have a few mixed boxes, a few non. Never noticed a difference.
rtrimbath Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I'm currently aging RASS and Epi 2's in an Epi 2 cab. I'm not particularly worried about it.
Shikar Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I have 10 year aged boxes with mixed up cigars this way. Never noticed an issue. Only issues are not knowing box codes. I thought I would remember them when I put the cigars in...... Regards. 2

I heard folding cigars only works if you roll them up in plastic wrap first. I tried it with soup once. Didn't work out. 1
buckwylde Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 You'll be fine. Go ahead! The only issue with mixing cigars is if you have flavoured ones, which you don't have. They still make flavored cigars? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
RickHendeson Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Yes I was kidding. I've never witnessed a fight between cigars from different marcas… I'd pay to see that
saintsmokealot Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Cigars need age to marry tobacco. If 2 different cigars are touching each other during the aging process doesn't this make them marry and contribute flavours to each other?
JohnS Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 They still make flavored cigars? Yeah...well, Non-Cuban ones.
