Few weeks ago I went to a local B&M and purchased a Padron 85 maduro to pay homage for smoking what I brought. I smoked it a couple days later and lets just say I was less than impressed(even thou

Ramon Allones Perfecto RE Swiss 2014 Before that Cohiba Robusto Supremo EL 2014

I've had three since Jan. 1. Monte PE, Monte 2, and a SCDLH El Principe. I rarely toss a cigar before the first third, but all of these were horrible.

just bad

I have had the same issues with Monte#4. Even out of a HQ box some are cracker and some are tasteless.

It's a shame that the Cohiba 1966 EL 2011 was bad for you as my experience with this cigar was exactly the opposite (and a heartfelt thanks, Trevor!) The Monte 4? Yes, I can relate to the fact that they are hit-and-miss, quite common for these high production cigars.

I bought a 5-pack tin of RyJ Julietas in Havana as walking around cigars. Tried one and it was bitter, just awful. I wasn't smoking it fast but it was hot and bitter, nothing pleasant at all.

The packaging is lovely, just get the cigars right. A Cuban panetela can be a great thing. The Julietas, at least the ones I had last week, aren't.

In Spain the Julietas are sold just like the cigarillos, next to the cigarettes, ie not in the shop's humidor. Says a lot about how they are perceived there…

Long live the King Lancero.

Heard some good things about this NC and the newer brand. Construction was stunning and the prelight draw was promising. When put to the flame it showed its true colors....****.

Muscled thru the 1st 1/3, then it flew over the over the fence onto 67th Ave in South Miami(if anyone wants it).

The one I had was plugged. I liked the king is dead line better.

Cohiba Sublime. Don't know how I will manage to go thru that box of huge turds.

The last two 2013 Monte PEs I smoked were terrible. Poor construction and little taste. These were sitting in my humidor for over six months. A Monte 2 this week was also terrible with what appeared to be a stem in the cigar that caused it to burn poorly and taste terrible.

Smoked an NC a few months back that was pretty crappie, CC wise a custom or two I tried.

A lot of Cohiba so far..

Mine was a recent HdM Epi 2. Just awful.. Was looking forward to a sweet, medium bodied, creamy smoke. Achieved non of the above.

NC H. Upmann The Banker robusto. Started off fairly nice, medium spice and coffee. Then after the first inch it turned into a complete dog rocket. Full blast bitterness and an overpowering spice. Never again...

Not a cuban; Kentucky Fire Cured. Whatever they're calling their petit corona offering size. Just tasted like I was smoking ash after the first third, and that first third was a very one dimensional smoke of black pepper.

A while back had a terrible Partagas P2. Wrapper started peeling in the middle nowhere near burn or cut and just tasted like a hot dog **** covered in burnt cowhide....

A particularly bad BBF last weekend, harsh and tasteless....not bought from Rob, that's why it must have failed! smile.png

Out of interest, 2014 or earlier. There are dud BBF in all years but 14 was good for BBF in general.

San Crist Principe (EML Jun '14).......not necessarily a crapper in regards to flavor or anything, just plugged. Tighter than a frogs a-hole.
