LeafLover Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 How are you going cheap nowadays? Lost my Blazer. Don't want to fork over the money to buy another lighter. So, using a regular lighter to light my cigars. Soft flame is working out though.
BonVivant Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 avoided Regionals and Edicion Limitadas = went cheap Sticked to heroin from 2013 - great year, IMHO
mk05 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 He stole all the heroin so I settled for 2013 crack. A decent substitute, but not as powerful as heroin - El Laguito rolled some nice drugs.
polarbear Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Smoking a pipe to supplement my cigar habit 3
NJP Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Only drink using one hand. The competive nature of my left and right was costing me a fortune. Seriously, I smoke more Party Shorts rather than three quarters of a Corona Gorda then laying it down. 1
forgop Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 I only bought 20 boxes the past 5 months from the 12:12's 3
Popular Post Lotusguy Posted November 30, 2014 Popular Post Posted November 30, 2014 avoided Regionals and Edicion Limitadas = went cheap Sticked to heroin from 2013 - great year, IMHO The joke is really getting old, IMO. Also, Esplendidos cost at least as much as most RE or LE. 5
Baldy Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Smoking a pipe to supplement my cigar habit Pipe smoking is a wonderful thing on many levels. One of which is allowing me to age my cigars. Using $50 bills instead of $100 bills to light my cigars helped too. 3
hoyopr Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Using $50 bills instead of $100 bills to light my cigars helped too. Now that is Funny!
Rye Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Pipe smoking is a wonderful thing on many levels. One of which is allowing me to age my cigars. Using $50 bills instead of $100 bills to light my cigars helped too. Yeah, but then the Canadian govt. had to mess that up too by making the bills plastic. I've replaced burning my bills by using a nice blue flame off a bottle of cask strength and it seems to be working ok. 1
ramon_cojones Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Been using matches a lot lately, works a treat but not much wind in socal (except some nights only in beverly hills sup J)
Colt45 Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Lost my Blazer. Don't want to fork over the money to buy another lighter. So, using a regular lighter to light my cigars. Soft flame is working out though. Smoking mainly outdoors, I got a bit tired of soft flame - otherwise I'd still be using my trusty, never fail Zippo. After having a couple of Blazers (which I love) die on me, I bought a Vector Thunderbird butane torch insert for Zippo cases. Capacity is much less than the Blazers, power nearly equal, so I'm happy overall (enough so that I bought the Vector butane soft flame insert as well). Short money, and so far great reliability...... 1
Troels Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Party chicos for when im only crawing a fix more than hour long contemplation
rodrigodeanda Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 My way of going cheap now is buying online (from our hosts!). Here in Brazil the prices are way too high, can't say the prices here but I can say buying this way is saving me some good money!
Mynamesnotdan Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Well its been cold as hell here in Minnesota, so I've been going cheap by not smoking! Hopefully it warms up soon though because I'm well overdue for a good cigar.
mikek Posted November 30, 2014 Posted November 30, 2014 Well I have used more lighters for fishing weights than not! I always keep some strike any where kitchen matches for backup.
garbandz Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 No more impulse buying.When I buy 5 or 6 boxes a month,it's only the ones I really need..........
canucks6024 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 great thread. agree with the pipe smoking.
GodofFire Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Being unemployed I can't even afford cheap and my humidor is almost empty. . Just a couple left then DT's are going to hit hard
MIKA27 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Using $50 bills instead of $100 bills to light my cigars helped too. Can't even do that in Australia because the bills are plastic!!
TheLiquidGator Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Switched from blondes to brunettes and have managed to save some coin in the process.
GottaBeKD Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Switched from blondes to brunettes and have managed to save some coin in the process.Bleached blondes might be a compromise worth trying
Duxnutz Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 Smoking non-cubans. Happy to thin that particular herd.
maxcjs0101 Posted December 1, 2014 Posted December 1, 2014 I'm not going cheap but our customs are ravaging through parcels and cigar shipments are being detained. So i'll have to order and smoke a lot lesser.
