The Robustos Supremos follows in the footsteps of the Cohiba Behike and Pirámides Extras in utilising the new Cohiba Hologram band. What's interesting about this release however, is that the Cigar would be part of the Le Hoyo series, that is dominated by thinner ring gauged Cigars. The San Juan will follow the trend of recent years of large bands with the name of the Cigar embossed underneath the logo. Examples of this band styling include the Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure de Luxe and H. Upmann Connoisseur A. The San Juan will be available in slide lid cabinets of both 10 & 25 cigars. Pricing is unknown but I'd not be surprised that they won't be cheap! Hopefully the Serie D No. 6 will build on the success of the H. Upmann Half Corona. Released in 2011, the H. Upmann Half Corona proved a hit with aficionados as it delivered in flavour regardless of it's size. Mainly because only a few years ago the Trinidad line was dealt a blow with both the Robusto Extra and Robusto T being discontinued. There were also at the time of the discontinuations rumours that the whole Trindad brand were to be axed. With the introduction of the Vigia, does this indicate that there is still hope for a Trinidad resurgance and Habanos S.A. takes this premium brand seriously? What we do know is: It is a Ramon Allones, utilising the same white band design as found with the Ramon Allónes Allones Extra. It looks to be a perfecto shaped cigar. What the cigar will be finally called is unknown. I have called it Ramon Allones Perfecto for now, but that's just an unofficial name I have given it. The actual ring gauge and length of the cigar is unknown, although it looks like a slightly larger Bolívar Británicas. An interesting vitola in the fact that it has an odd numbered fifty three ring gauge that is difficult to pronounce. It's not the first Sobresalientes Regional Edition however, as in previous years we have had the Ramon Allónes Sidon and Bolívar 681 for both Lebanon and Bulgaria respectively. El Presidente Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Cheers Mike You normally don't start seeing them until 3rd quarter of the year. Often later.
Hiroshiro Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 As long as I can get my hands on the LGCs I'll be happy
smokinpeace Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 As long as I can get my hands on the LGCs I'll be happy This!
Ryan Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 There was a rumour that the UK RE was to be launched on June 5th. I can't see that happening now though.
IPORTER Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Also, hope that the Trinie Vigia is 100 times better than the 2010 LE , the short Robustos! What a waste of good Tobacco that was in my opinion!
Pedro2486 Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Keen as on the Cohiba, HdM and I'd really love to try that RA perfecto
Rye Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I'm just hoping we get a Canadian regional this year and don't get skunked again. I've heard rumors of a Raphael Gonzales Minutos but nothing to validate it yet. As for the EL series, I like trying them, but have bought very few boxes over the years. If I remember correctly, I've only bought the '12 Parti C3 and the '07 Trini Ingenios.

Rye Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 I heard a la flor de cano minuto for canukadaMaybe that's what I heard as well. Either way, it will be a $17+ itty-bitty that better be good or it will be in the store rooms until 2057 or the next big warehouse flood. (Poor poor Simones) 1
Popular Post CaptainQuintero Posted May 20, 2014 Popular Post Posted May 20, 2014 No one else stupidly excited about the PL hermosas #4? I cant wait! Interested in the RyJ gordito if the blend is based on the cedros line; sweet sticky woods 5
Vortigan Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 The one that leaps out over all the others for me as one that I'd like to try is the Boli SC.I love Hoyo in general but a 54 ring is a step too far for me and a 58 on the Cohiba is just ridiculous IMHO. I can't seem to get along with PL as a marque in general so the UK regional won't interest me but I like the idea of the Hermosas #4,size wise. I imagine that the German RA 898 is going to go well too.
earthson Posted May 20, 2014 Posted May 20, 2014 Why do I feel like this Cohiba is going to be the beginning of the end for small-gauge CC? I mean, there are some interesting NC blends coming out in the past 5 years or so and I can't try most of them because the RG are all too gd big! 1
mk05 Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Wow! If only Stevegriff knew when they were rolled and released!
Habana Mike Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 Wow! If only Stevegriff knew when they were rolled and released! And how they'd be priced!
Maplepie Posted May 21, 2014 Posted May 21, 2014 i'm actually (unhealthy-ingly) excited about the H. Upmann Reserva. i hope they'll do a Sir Winnie or Connie A Gran Reserva a bit down the line, though... kinda like how i'm hoping for an RyJ Gran Reserva of some sort. one that's a completely different Vitola.
Large215 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 I can't wait to get my hands on bout partagas psd6 an the el boxes on boxes
mk05 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 And how they'd be priced! That part would be harder for him to track down
sw15825 Posted May 22, 2014 Posted May 22, 2014 Holy Smokes, that Cohiba LE is a beast!! Jaw breaker! Way too fat. How much will it cost with 2 bands and the Cohiba name? Wayyy too much! Are the Cubans getting into gimmick cigars? Add serie D 6 ? I dont get it at all. Pass.
ATGroom Posted May 23, 2014 Posted May 23, 2014 The Partagás Coleccion Habanos Serie E No. 1 on that list is actually the 2013 release, I think, although it has yet to surface and I haven't heard anything about the 2014 (presumably Hoyo), so who really knows.

Add serie D 6 ? I dont get it at all. Pass. Would have to agree here. Might be looking a little absurd chowing on this stogie with your mates at a BBQ. Cigars for me are about relaxing and enjoying. Getting your mouth around this baseball bat is far from my idea of enjoyment!
