ajgagnon Posted April 10, 2014 Posted April 10, 2014 I started burning through my first box of PL Montecarlos at a rapid rate and then realized they were disappearing, and probably hadn't even reached their best. A new box is resting at the bottom of the humi but I wish I could have one every day. I wish the LGCs were still in production, and I wish I could afford the Cohiba Lanceros.
RagingPorkBun Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Haven't had anything with a ring gauge of 38 or less in a long time. Most NC and now, it seems CC cigars are going toward the 54+ ring gauge side. I'm more of a robusto and torpedo guy, but I'm starting to move more towards the skinny cigars. The fat ones just don't seem to have the same oomph in flavour as the skinnies. I'd love to see some more lanceros or panetelas in production though.
BonVivant Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 almost every day - "almost" is for the sick days
Smalls Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 The Hoyo du Gourmet is one of my favorite cigars period. They have made me branch out and try other long skinnies. The Gourmet is still the best I have tried by far though. 1
Habana Mike Posted April 11, 2014 Posted April 11, 2014 Looks like there's lots of Lancero lovers, what IS HSA/Cubatabaco thinking????? 1

Stogiedude3 Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Yesterday. While sitting in the turkey blind waiting foe the sun to come up. Party Spanish Rosado. Its a NH but its pretty dang good.
Blakes Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 This morning I had a lovely PLMC. A Du Gourmet yesterday, no skinnies on Saturday but an amazing PSdC no.2 on Friday! HSA this is what I think of your abandonment of Skinnies!!
EuroTrash Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 This week in Havana. A Reynaldo (Conde de Villanueva) panetela(ish) sized custom, Montecristo Especial, and Trini Fundy (almost at 39rg).
finecigar Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Had a few PL Montecarlos this week, QdO Panatela, and ERdM DT
LGC Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 90% of my cigars are of 42 rg and smaller. Maybe 50% of those are 38 rg and smaller. Sadly, there are very few options left in these sizes.
fabes Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Had a few PL Montecarlos this week, QdO Panatela, and ERdM DT Need to find some of those QdO Pannatela!!
laficion Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 I had a P.L. Montecarlo last week only, It was GREAT !!!!!!!
fokker4me Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I have a few lanceros a week, and had a PL Monte Carlo on Saturday.
SaintLuis Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 I don't get below 39 too often. Many of my favorites are in the 42 range.
StingMeadery Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Buddy! In think those are a little over 38 in girth? Just snuck in there with a 38 RG La Escepcion Selectos Finos, right now! Hooray! Yeah just googled them 40RG ...(apologies gents) From my mobile phone Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Jeremy Festa Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Yeah just googled them 40RG ...(apologies gents) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk No worries mate. We'll let it slide this time, simply because it was so long and skinny. Have a good one!
Laxman Posted April 16, 2014 Posted April 16, 2014 Pretty sure I have not smoked any skinnies this year nor will I. Not a big fan of the small ring gauge. Yes some have been tasty but just not my style. 1
davidl Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Guys - how much time does it take to smoke of of these, on average, ..say a HDM DU GOURMET ?
Othello Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I had to cast my vote as last month, when in fact, I smoked a LA Escepcion RE Italia and a Montecristo Especial No. 1 yesterday. I've smoked a few Cohiba Corona Extra in the last month as well, along with a number of PL Panatellas and Upmanns Epicure. Even had a few 03 RG Panatellas in there as well.
