Tino Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Well, it's kinda green & gold, one for the Aussies?!
PapaDisco Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 A Monte Open Humidor? Seriously?!?!?! This is AWESOME! I had been avoiding the Open series solely because of the series' poor humidor esthetics.
Pedro2486 Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Nice humidor. Anyone want some monte opens? Guys? I'll pay someone $50 to take em away.....
oliverdst Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 This is not new. I guess they have been around for 2 years. They never sold out.

polarbear Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 I guess they need to sell some Maybe a collector who just buys and never snokes will grab a couple...
shlomo Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 like oliver said, these have been out a while now. Id have no qualms about owning one of these if thd price is right. The Open series is certainly not my favorite, but an occassional one is alright
Surucipe Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Ugly humidor imo, looks cheap and probably isn't. As for the cigars themselves, I've only had the Master and the Regata. The Master was crap (just boring and tasteless), but I didn't mind the Regata at all, in fact I rather enjoyed it.
Smallclub Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 The Master was crap (just boring and tasteless), but I didn't mind the Regata at all, in fact I rather enjoyed it. Same experience.
CaptainQuintero Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 This is AWESOME! I had been avoiding the Open series solely because of the series' poor humidor esthetics. !!!!!!!!!!
garbandz Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Perhaps this humi will boost the sale of these cigars.Personally I do not like the cigars or the look of the humi. A site I have used sent an email yesterday stating the availability and price of this humi..........$809.00 US Generally this site is way expensive for regular stock,so I estimate this humi could retail elsewhere for 650.00 or so..........

FireDigger Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Sweet!!! Now my boxes and boxes of CAO Brazilias won't look so out of place in my humidor.
LGC Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 If they don't sell, they can just sand and repaint the boxes. If they stick some Cohibas or RAs in the boxes, they will fly off the shelves.
oliverdst Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 Besides cigars taste/quality I bet the humidor itself is pretty decent. All my Habanos humidors/special releases are well done (very good quality, wood, appearance).
ramon_cojones Posted February 13, 2014 Posted February 13, 2014 If they don't sell, they can just sand and repaint the boxes. If they stick some Cohibas or RAs in the boxes, they will fly off the shelves. why you gotta keep dragging ra into this should read montecristo or some other brand
potpest Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Just noticed this on sale for a bargain 600 euros.....madness
cigcars Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Aww, poor Monte Open! I didn't hate it when I smoked them upon their first release. If funds permitted, I'D get it!
Armaniac Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Tried the Open Master, it was so tasteless and bad that I was afraid to try any of the other Open series. Maybe I'll try the Regata since a couple of you seemed to like it.
dangolf18 Posted February 14, 2014 Posted February 14, 2014 Yea maybe for $250-$300 but surely not $800+. Same goes for the jars. Why buy a Siglo VI jar (Germany release) for 660€ euros when you can get a regular box for under 600. If you got money to burn why not though. Just my 2 cents.
