investandprosper Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 What, Cuba run out of wood? Had to resort to putting a clasp on a Monte 2 10ct box?
nikesupremedunk Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Wouldn't mind trying one of these.
Lotusguy Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Interestingly, Monte Petit Tubos 10er boxes also have a clasp. First time I ever saw that on a dress box was on the PL Regalias De Londres UK RE.
Hash Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Very good looking cigars,i bet they smoke very well too.Available end of October.
mk05 Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 These don't taste like Grand Edmundos to me...it's not as plain. The GE were for sure Montecristo crowdpleasers...but they weren't complex or rich. It was a good cigar, but I always finished one thinking it was seriously missing something. These have more richness to them. Profoundly. The cigar is intense. To make it simple without making it a review, I'd say it has the flavors and strength of the D (for those who have had, I don't think these are quite ready still), but with a depth and finesse of the Maravilla #1. Very, very strong for a Montecristo. I believe these will be a hit.
Justmi Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 55 ring gauge? How long until we reach 60 ring gauge?
seanbeer Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 not gonna buy purely based on the RG! hate these RG
nick17 Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 definitely would not mind picking a box up if the price is right
Hamlon Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I thought it was gonna be RG52 due to the name.. No longer interested in a box. Might do a split just for the sake of it, though.
Ophidion Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 I have yet to hear about the price for a box or per stick. Until then I will hold off on getting my hopes up that it will be reasonably priced. If they are over 20/stick I will go ahead and just invest that money into some ESP 2s.

Now this is connoisseur thinking!!! -Piggy
Smallclub Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Announced at €190/box of 10 in Belgium. About US$25 per cigar… Availability: end of October.
Ophidion Posted September 18, 2012 Posted September 18, 2012 Probably going to pass unless someone does a split with me. For 250 I can get 25 monte ESP 2 or another box or RACF or a myriad of other sticks that I need to stock up on at some point.
dan5974 Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 55 ring gauge? How long until we reach 60 ring gauge? I'm wondering how long before we reach 70.
dan5974 Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 not gonna buy purely based on the RG! hate these RG Couldnt agree more.
seanbeer Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 think i will get the party el this year, much better size.
Lotusguy Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Coming in 2014: The Montecristo Nub Deluxe in 74 x 3" format
khomeinist Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Am looking forward to the La Gloria in the tuna can vitola. For the most exclusive and discerning consumer.
orangedog Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 Hoping for grey market =<$200. If so, will stock up. Big time.
Quantim0 Posted September 21, 2012 Posted September 21, 2012 I'm wondering how long before we reach 70. There are a bunch of cigars by relatively large NC brands that are 7x70. I'm disappointed Habanos seems to be going down the same path the last few years.
