riazp Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Love davids idea. I would like to see as well a belicoso finos size or a petit torpedo.
Rushman Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Name: The Czar Custom - REVO "Welcome to the Czar Revolution!" ; (Pronounced Ree-vo) Blended by El Presidente and his band of misfit Pirates. Size: Perfecto Pictured here: or if you want an old school pic "El Perfecto Revolucion!" I can give this my vote although th suggested name sounds too much like BEVO for my tastes. --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.630121,-87.069843
Puros Y Vino Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 OK. Stop the presses. I think I've got it. Let's go back to Art's "109" vitola suggestion. Very rare vitola in the CC world. And this cigar needs to celebrate something very special. The good health of Guy. Ladies and Gents I give you the "Laficion" !!
Colt45 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I guess it wouldn't get more historical, or perhaps classic, than a corona. I'm not a big fan of shaped cigars, but more importantly for me is flavor and consistency/repeatability. A corona with a colorado / colorado claro wrapper would be great (to me).
Lotusguy Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 +1M on the Flying Pig suggestion!! I also love the idea of a Perla or Minuto.
baragh Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Oops. Didnt see the under an hour criteria. I would recommend a ninfa size named Unity. Yes! the world needs more skinnies!
jedipastor Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Although I love skinnies, it's much easier to get a powerful smoke out of a fatter rg. A Flying Pig shape would be awesome, though it would probably burn for over an hour (depends on the blend, of course, but if it's strong that usually means lots of ligero which tends to burn more slowly). Still, this would be my vote! If the FP is out, then I'd vote for a Petite Robusto.
mk05 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 How about a box of 10 culebras called the czar custom, three different personalities that portray Ken, Smithy, and Rob? Rob's should be nice and smooth, Smithy with a lot of power and spice, and Ken would be all a different blend for each of the ten. LOL
Ghabanos Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Flyung pig seems intriguing. Otherwise I am quite brining. Robusto gets my vote. Please save me some. I'm saving money up for these.

You know, it says in your signature that you plan on "limit myself to one box or equivalent purchase each month." It looks as if you failed as of January.

I must say the 1966 and RA extra are delicious.
BradNC Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I would recommend a 109 size aptly named the 'El Presidente' Excellent idea!
hebbe72 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 A mareva size because this is my favourite size and normally takes 40-50 minutes to smoke. Simply called El Presidente PC!
isa Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Completely agree El Pres, around an hours smoke & full bodied - that i would love.
almudawi Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 +1 flying pig or a Petite robusto with an unfinished foot Would love a 109 but sadly it does not fit the set criteria
Fuzz AI Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 A culebra sounds like a good idea... twisted like it's creator! How about a demi tasse? Call it "El Pirata" or "Itty-Bitty-Smithy"
adic88 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I would recommend a 109 size aptly named the 'El Presidente' i'd buy these.
joshua84 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I second a perfecto like the AF Hemingway Short Story. Call it Czar's Story.
assassin Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 Whatever the final incarnations are I can't wait to try them!
olotti Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I like the idea of a perfecto but isn't the Celestiales Finos close to that in size and shape? I'm probably wrong but I thought they were close. Anyway my vote is for the classic cuban corona, classic size, very rare in todays market and you can pack enough ligero into it to make it fullbodied, plus it can be smoked in under an hour, otherwise the PC is my other vote and I think you can most definitely get a bang for your buck blend out of that size. In fact sometimes I think the smaller the vitola the more powerful and concentrated the flavors can be ie the BCJ and BPC. Whatever it is I'm sure it will be awesome.
Colt45 Posted June 12, 2012 Posted June 12, 2012 I like the idea of a perfecto but isn't the Celestiales Finos close to that in size and shape? Yes, the CF and Czar are perfectos. And I agree that thinner ring cigars often have a more intense flavor delivery.
