Jason55555 Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 After the whole Trinidad scare last week I decided to order a box of Trinidad Reyes from the Czar which should be on there way soon I ordered them because I like that the Reye's gives you great flavor when your limited for time. Now I want to add another box of short but great smokes and I'm looking for other options any suggestions??? I heard that Montecristo Petit Edmundo are a good short but flavorful smoke, anyone have any exp with them? Thanks
Lotusguy Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Some of my favorite Minutos/Perlas: SCDLH El Principe, Monte #5, RASCC, Punch Petit Coronations, Siglo I I am also really into the ERDM Demi Tasse. If you can find them, Dip #5 and Punch Petit Punch are awesome as well. The Monte Petit Edmundo are great smokes
Pilgrims Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 You can't better the Partagas Shorts or RASCC in my book, I love Reyes but Party shorts will "always" be my "go to" smaller smoke
TexAg Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I tend to lean more towards the Trini Reyes more so than the Party Shorts. IMO they are a little mildr but creamier. Quite enjoyable, may have one tonight...
canadianbeaver Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 SCDLH El Principe x2 Just smoked one now and me likee.
beamer Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I love the Boli PC and Monte 4. Need to try the Reyes and RASCC sometime.
MrDowse Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 You can't better the Partagas Shorts or RASCC in my book, I love Reyes but Party shorts will "always" be my "go to" smaller smoke seconded
gersonmorelli Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I love the Monte #5 when they're on. It's like having a thick italian ristretto on a stick. The only problem is to find good ones...
Cohiba Stevie Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Ramon allones small club corona... I have a box i bought in cuba that look incredible (hopefully smoke the same way) but im keepin em as they are now quite hard to come by. Partagas short and siglo i also on the money
Wil Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Bolivar corona junior, Partagas shorts and Upmann half coronas.
headstand Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 I have no doubt the the Siglo 1 would appeal to me, and I have enjoyed the Reyes, however I look to smoke shorter cigars when the thermometer plunges down to the numbers below 0 C (32F for our non-metric friends)so it would be a waste of an expensive smoke. For my needs the Principe, Boli CJ, and the Parti Short do the trick: three very different smokes, all relatively inexpensive.
rcarlson Posted May 3, 2012 Posted May 3, 2012 Cohiba Seceretos. I got a box out of curiosity and still marvel at how much smoke and taste comes out of those little suckers. They have serious balls for about a 20-30 day-timer.
Rushman Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 RASCC --- I am here: http://maps.google.com/maps?ll=20.630189,-87.069651
ZinZan Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 El Principe, Reyes, HDM Petit Robusto and Petit Edmundo. I really want to like RASCC and Party shorts because i like RASS, PSD4 and PSP2 but somehow or another its just not there for me.
isa Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 BPC, party shorts & el principe for me - consistent performance. The petit edmundo i have tried have been inconsistent.
Michel1968 Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Hoyo Petit Robusto & Party Shorts for any daytime trouble free smoke. Hoyo du Maire & ERdM Demi Tasse if you want to have a 'focussed' 30 to 40 min. smoke...
maverickdrinker Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 RASCC, RASS, Party short, Bolivar PC, cohiba Siglo I and II, Monte no. 4
Charltonc Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Monte fives when on. I had some from 05 that were smoking like a dream. I have been enjoyin HDM petit robusto, I really want to smoke one today, but time has not allowed.
LLC Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Sig I, Party short or Boli PC would be my go to short cigars.
isa Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 RASCC, RASS, Party short, Bolivar PC, cohiba Siglo I and II, Monte no. 4 Wow, thats a great range - love it The RASS is a robusto, isnt it? That opens up a lot of other possibilities , i suppose.
Ghabanos Posted May 5, 2012 Posted May 5, 2012 Cohiba Secretos - although they are aweful when too young, a bit of maturity goes a long way.
