Dug deep into the humi for a JL 1 box code ALV abr03 . Such a perfect late afternoon in the waning days of summer. Cicadas still buzzing, birds chirping. 76 degrees . These are the days I wait for ! Cigar is aged to perfection. First 3rd was toasted tobacco and deep mexican carmel. Very enjoyable. 2nd 3rd the carmel tones were joined by a bit of stewed fruit which is what I look for. The final 3rd had notes of toasted italian bread. I dont pretend to be Mr. Palate but on this night, this cigar was simply stunning. I know when I see those little white dots in my ash I am in for a good one.7 points

Tatuaje petit cazadores 2008 I'm gonna catch some shit but, I really think anyone who says Cuban are far superior to Nc's really hasn't smoked enough well aged Nicaragua cigars While I will concede that most Nc's aren't going to stand toe to toe will a 5 star example of whatever is killing the game right now from the island. But well aged examples of my favorite Nicaraguans are right up there with my Cubans. I've painted a target on my head. Feel free to fire away4 points

Not really a purchase, but a box full of trades arrived today from a fellow member. Mostly stuff I have not tries before, or stuff I have tried with some age on them. It's going to be very exciting trying all these new sticks. Also, my singles humidor is practically full now! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk3 points

Super happy for you Mario, now you get to build another mini kitchen I have two girls (4 yrs and 10 months) and everyone asks if I want to try for a boy. I always say, "there is nothing I could teach a boy that I can't teach my girls...except how to pee on the seat... Now you have someone to pass on the tradition to.3 points

Buy as I do for most things, to try out and form an opinion, that's what cigars are all about, try everything, figure out what you like and go from there Bart2 points

Only noise attacks I've experienced in HAV was that of too noisy tourists in places like Floridita or too loud Regueton played on the stereo in old Havana or in cabs ...2 points

You staying in the same apartment? Got a couple great photos from that deck! Damn, tho, yes the band up top DID NOT STOP.. had no idea who they were playing to, me thinks it was 5 foreigners and and a bunch of chairs.. Dad slept in the bed by the deck, I slept on the futon with my earbuds in. Felt sorry for Dad. Like Cory, I really liked some of the art. This was in that Apartment. Photos from the Deck - In this photo below, the Cab with the blue lighted interior never moved all night. Dad and I watched it for 3-4 hours. The guys stood outside the cab, had lots of lost foreigners types ask them questions although they didn't seem too interested in helping. We wondered what they were up to. This is one of my favorite photos I've ever taken. If you have a sharp eye you can see where I took the photo, two photos above. My dad (@jacketfan) put me on the photo and it occurred to me as I was framing the shot that I was seeing the new revolucíon. The old and the new.. The old (mom inside talking to the adults), and the new with the youngsters on the deck getting WiFi (the window to the world) from the hotel next-door.2 points

Winston, to me, is much more complex and the development offers more surprises. Of course, I prefer the Upmann profile to Cohiba.2 points

Well Thursday is the new Friday especially since the weather still permits a comfortable outdoor smoke. For once tonight it didn't take me long to decide what to smoke when I thought about this thread. Not smoked a Connie A in a while and had pulled out a couple for a herf last weekend which didn't get lit. What a glorious cigar!Def within my top 5 this year.Tonights sample being from a 5er MEG '16 I believe.Very, very good! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

It sounds like it started around November of last year. Does anyone here have anything to say for themselves? I know acoustic weaponry has been around for several years now, but I have not heard of versions powerful enough to cause brain damage and memory loss. I am staying across the street from Hotel Capri in a few months, just like last November. The band on the roof goes until 2 or 3 am Thurs-Sun nights. I thought I had brain damage by the time I left!2 points

A second epic cigar day in a row. SUB AGO 11 Siglo III- nothing like an aged Sig III LRE OCT 09 BGM - firm but good draw and perfect burn. Great cigar but I'll give a very slight edge to the Siglo III this time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point
