An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

Great minds..... had an 06 Mag46 today. Unfortunately, it's lost most of its jazz and, unfortunately, I still prefer the Mag50

Never had a Mag 50. Still sitting on some I picked up from our host. I'll look to light one up this weekend.

Second cigar today

SLR Regio from an FOH sampler a while ago. Lit with what is usually my creme brûlée torch while I get my dupont serviced.

Finally a hit in the new Vegueros line - a very tasty Tapados. Fantastic for such a young cigar.

Now a RyJ Cazadores BD2010 with a wrapper that doesn't want to burn right. Still decent.

A Tat Havana VI Angeles with a nice Czech lager on an unusually mild October evening.

An exceptional AME MAY '13 Por Larranaga Montecarlo paired with a Yunnanese black tea and sparkling water. The flavor was probably the best of all the Montecarlos in my box but the construction and burn were considerably off; it went out on me 7-8 times! I'm a slow smoker but I never smoke slow enough for a cigar to go out on me that many times. Fortunately, I lit it back up quickly each time so flavor destruction was minimal. It was also a little underfilled in the midsection but nothing in the way way of producing any hot smoke. The smoke was very thick and the body fuller than a typical Montecarlo, with very strong notes of dried fruit, a maltiness toward the back end, and even hints of a caramel that I surmise will be characteristic of these in the upcoming months and--if I can keep my hands off them--years! I'd rate a solid 90 for this one.

if your cigar keeps going out on you chances are it's over-humidified
