Connie B - Bought one to try. Started out on the mild side but quickly picked up to medium with great flavors.

 

 

LUB ABR 14 Connie A - more full bodied with great flavors throughout.

 

 

Tough to pick a winner, the Connie B at its peak was a bit better but the Connie A was more consistent. Definitely know I’ll be buying more Connie B’s to go along with the Connie A’s I have.

Caramel, honey and light toast, Gorgeous, the cigar should have been an inch-and-a-half or 15 to 20 minutes longer because I couldn't get enough of it!

3. Montecristo No.2 MEL May 17
Montecristo nut, coffee, cocoa and tobacco in leaps and bounds here, but it was just a tad too youthful for my liking, especially considering I had a few other 12 to 18 month old Montecristo No. 2's lately that have been a lot milder!

4. Romeo y Julieta Churchill OBM Dic 16
Romeo y Julieta cherry here from 'go to whoa' (an Australian slang term meaning from beginning to end) resplendent with Turkish delight, anise, tobacco and rosewater flavours. I nubbed this yet I wanted more. A truly superb cigar-smoking experience!

What about the PL? In my top 3 smoke, love those.

I have a few of these that have been sitting for almost a year. Same thing, great flavors but way way too full bodied, a real ass kicker last year. Hoping that some mellowing occurs, going to revisit one soon

Round 2 an unfortunately disappointing Partagas Anajados. I’ve given these a go but I’m yet to be convinced that these, or in fact any of the anajados programme, are worth the premium price tag.

A moment of cack-handedness saw this drop out of the humidor onto the floor. Bad damage to both head and foot made it an obvious choice for today.

It’s so much milder and smoother than that the first I tried from this box (ETP JUL 16), with leather, game and rich creaminess beautifully balanced. I’m surprised by how much they’ve evened out in such a short space of time.

Cracking, both literally and figuratively. ?

edit - the final third ramped up sharply. More time down required, but they will be glorious.
