An RE Friday with @Nate Chu C&C for a Saturday morning with this Sir Winston from 03. Today is going to be great if this cigar is anything to judge it by. What a super smooth star

First cigar of the year.

C&C ‘14 especiales. Fantastic start to the day C&C with a Monte 4 C&C time today with a Perla picked up from 24:24

Sorry to hear - storage perhaps...(?) My '01 stash is smoking better than ever. A 2006 box, on the other hand, found a few years back, appears to be over the hill (still nice smokes though). But the Y2K tobacco - 1999-01, the ones I smoked from the 'dreaded' period - seems to have legs.

This is very worrying, I have nothing against NC cigars, but if ever proved, I would be super pissed off.

99 luckily that NC pepper taste goes away almost immediately. I doubt it contains any NC but the first few puffs certainly had that taste. I’m curious to see if they all have that taste. So far I’ve only smoked one.

Found this and another box at a Mexican LCDH about 5 yrs ago...1st box was superb..no idea why this box has let me down. Going to chalk it up as typical Cuban inconsistencies ...

Sure, may be. But over those periods of time, storage and provenance come to play an increasingly important role. In my humble opinion, the Clasicos (basically speaking, leaving outliers aside) is one of those cigars that has the legs to become a true classic and will still be great for decades down the road.
