I know we have people from all walks of life here but I was just curious as to what everyone does as their career. Or since I know a lot of people hate what they do for a living, what are some dream jobs you guys hope to one day have besides doing what Rob and Lisa do?

I hope this didn't come off the wrong way but I am just curious as to the wide variety of people/professions this great board is home to.

Retired after 30 years in Pennsylvania civil service (where I was neither civil nor provided much service!) During that time I played bass guitar in various rock, blues & reggae bands. I continue to play music. Keeps me feeling young.

I just graduated from university, and now I'm looking for a job with one of the world's most useless degrees (History) in the most difficult economic climate for at least a decade. Life is good. :)

I'm actually hoping to go to law school next year, I just need to figure out some way to afford it!

Aloha everyone, I have not posted here in quite awhile but I see lots of familiar names of people I have known over the years on numerous cigar forums. Great to see you all again.

As for a living? I am blessed to work a job I absolutely LOVE. I am the associate editor for an online SUP (stand up paddle) surfing magazine. SUP is done on slightly larger than normal surfboards and is done by standing up and propelling yourself along with a long outrigger type paddle. Some of us do it large Hawaiian surf but it is also hugly popular for flat water (lakes, rivers, etc) fun and exercise. It has been practiced in Hawaii for decades but it has seen an amazing resurgence in recent years. It is currently the fastest growing water sport in the world.

My job has several duties like writing articles, covering and sometimes entering surf events, ad sales, and co host of an online radio show. The money isn't great (yet) but that is secondary as the job is extremely satisfying and rewarding.

was a finance lawyer (and right at this minute, am i not glad to be out of that!), now spend most of my time writing about wine. a little bit on cigars, travel, food and trying to do a bit on fishing (and before rob starts, once it is in print, people just assume you must have some idea about what you write).

A headhunter for hedge funds and banks in the NYC area. You would think my business would be hurting but our clients are actually doing well and continue to hire.

Currently I'm a software developer of Securities Financing products, but on the side I also run my wife's Martial Arts business and have just started up a property development partnership in Canada. What I really want to do though is to sell Chinese fine art... maybe one day :2thumbs:

Greetings to all (2nd post here)!

I've been with a captive equipment finance company for a little over 3 years. Thus far I've worn the "wholesale auditor", "retail credit analyst" & " asset recovery specialist" hats--lots of interaction with dealers and customers.
