Popular Post El Presidente Posted June 19 Popular Post Posted June 19 Saturday....was up at 5am to watch the world cup debacle. 2-0 currently to the US who have been vastly superior. I was hoping ICE agents would turn up at halftime and even the contest but BigGuns reminded me that there are no ICE agents in Seattle. I am off to gym once the game hits 3-0. Work today. Visit parents and take some goodies, cook some sticky beef short ribs for dinner. I have to test Lancero 2 to smoke this afternoon. Sunday we are taking Rena (Di's mum) for lunch with the family. Monthly get together for Diana's clan. That rips a hole in the day but newspapers/negroni and cigar awaits "husband of the year" upon his return home. Weekly planning required as it will be a big week coming up. What's up for the Weekend? 8 1
Popular Post Chibearsv Posted June 19 Popular Post Posted June 19 I'm watching the US Open and a bit of horse racing wagering followed by my niece’s daughter’s birthday party on Saturday. Sunday golf if the weather holds, then kabobs on the grill while my wife’s best friend visits from Florida. 7
Popular Post JohnS Posted June 19 Popular Post Posted June 19 We have a family gathering today to celebrate my Father-in-law's 87th birthday. Tomorrow I'll be doing work. Such is life. 8
Popular Post TheCigarSoldier Posted June 20 Popular Post Posted June 20 Wife's birthday tomorrow. Got her some presents all good to go. Her friend is coming into town so the two of them will hit the town tomorrow night for a girls night while I'm on dad duty. Bedtime will be a little early so I can enjoy something nice in peace and quiet, maybe a Kelner 80th. Fathers day for us is this Sunday, so I'll be playing 18 holes with a couple buddies in the morning, then treating myself to a box of BR Dalias once I get back. Probably going to smoke a N8 Churchill form my bundle on the course to see how they're coming along, and maybe a Cohiba in the evening. Should be a great weekend. 7
Popular Post dicko Posted June 20 Popular Post Posted June 20 Heading off camping at a friend's property. Old partially logged forest. I'm going to explore and see if any monster Jarrahs or Marris are still down there. Finally will be able to smoke some cigars as it's been a while. Sent from my SM-S938B using Tapatalk 7
Popular Post Goldeneye Posted June 20 Popular Post Posted June 20 Off to Vancouver Island for a four day salmon and halibut trip. Weather looks fantastic so hoping the fish cooperate. 8
Popular Post Fuzz AI Posted June 20 Popular Post Posted June 20 Finishing up power washing the outside pavers and then buy a bunch of sand to refill all the gaps. Maybe look at installing a new smart lock on one of the outer doors. 7

Popular Post Chucko8 Posted June 20 Popular Post Posted June 20 Boozy lunch at Morton’s Steakhouse today. Hopefully a surf tomorrow. 10
Popular Post SigmundChurchill Posted June 20 Popular Post Posted June 20 I have a couple of high school graduation parties to go to. Kinda weird that the parents are inviting their friends to these things, but whatever, a party is a party. Tomorrow I'm playing in a Father-Daughter pickleball match at my club for Father's Day. Then going to my in-law's house for their annual Father's Day gathering. 7
Popular Post Boss Hog Posted June 20 Popular Post Posted June 20 Picked up our new daily driver that we custom ordered in February. In addition to the RS5 that we purchased last Summer, I should be in driving bliss for the next decade or so. 13
Popular Post Chitmo Posted June 20 Popular Post Posted June 20 Trying to do more house decluttering while my wife continues to bring more junk home 😮💨 6
Popular Post ha_banos Posted June 20 Popular Post Posted June 20 Got all the itinerary together for our 2 week driving holiday around Sicily later in the year! Everything booked. Just need to work out some sights to explore. I got Claude to suggest some ideas including cigars at each stop of course😎 Wife a bit down so popped to local Albtalian cafe for a late lunch. In the evening settled into a movie, Midnight Special. Not too bad. Tomorrow, for Father's day, getting Dad and my in-laws together in the morning. Got local CAMRA pub planned for early evening with couple mates. Non smoking pub! Thanks local council for stipulating that. Oh and weather here is a bit crazy. Hope everyone's doing well x 10
Popular Post westg Posted June 21 Popular Post Posted June 21 The University of Western Australia markets are on today. Great to be back strolling around the grounds of a truly beautiful University. I miss the days of rolling cigarettes and drinking cheap beer there...not really, but it is great to bring up some fond memories. A host of food vendors, some really cool jewellery and we actually purchased a few pieces today. Some seriously good whiskey and gin from small batch distilleries at a price are on hand. The girls lost me a few to many times as I wonder off and find myself lost in a sea of people which is perfectly fine with me. For those of us in Aus, you must try the Bloody Shiraz Gin (by Four Pillars) in a negroni. It does make it a little sharper a little spicier and gives the tasty beverage a tad more zest. Gorgeous. Give it a try for our international brethren. Cooking some flathead fillets this afternoon that I dragged in on lure yesterday afternoon whilst watching some AFL. Still trying to get my head around how a team can celebrate a nil-all draw in a game of soccer and how players throw themselves to the ground as if they are in agony then jump up if as nothing has happened at all and then hug the referee while the whole world is watching. 🌴😎 11
GVan Posted June 21 Posted June 21 Working on the Man-Cave again this weekend. Put in a new A/C unit and am drilling 3 new 4" holes through the concrete side wall to install three new 4" exhaust fans to remove the cigar smoke. First hole was only about 10 minutes to drill with an industrial grade hole saw. Second hole hit 4 massive rebars and it took over an hour to drill. Expecting more of the same today as I begin the third hole! Always fun starting a new project but they never go exactly as planned! 4
Popular Post cnov Posted June 21 Popular Post Posted June 21 The Mrs has a dodgy back and has been horizontal for over a week now. There isn't much I'm not doing around the house and garden but I've managed to sneak a cigar and drink whole the BBQ warms up! 6 1
Popular Post Çnote Posted June 21 Popular Post Posted June 21 Getting ready for 3 World Cup games across the street. Hopefully I have enough Fernet for the Argentinians. 7
Popular Post Ford2112 Posted June 21 Popular Post Posted June 21 Building up an old mongoose bike, 1990 Team IBOC. Cigar or several. Going to see a couple bands with friends this evening. Went for a ride yesterday. Saw old friends and got caught up. Great weekend. 1st father's day without my pops though so I will celebrate today in his honor with a good stogie. 9 1

No negronis for me, but I love the Four Pillars Shiraz Gin. Batches change from year to year slightly, but still very good. I prefer it straight over ice. 3
