H Upmann. Many varieties, violas, and home run hitters (No. 2, Sir Winston, Mag 54, and more). I would miss the PSD4 and the JLP 1&2 but picking just one marca was an easy choice for me.

I don’t care if it’s cliche. Cohiba. Vast selection of lines and vitolas. Maduro, Siglo, Classics, Behike. No brainer.

I hope you have some deep pockets!!!  🤪

I thought the guy who started this thread is paying for them.

  • JohnS changed the title to You can only smoke anything from the portfolio of one Cuban marca for the rest of your life - what is it?

Upmann for me, too. However, if funds are no concern, Cohiba would be my choice.

Perfect answer 👌

The very notion of “you can only smoke one brand for the rest of your life” is a fabricated reality.
So within this fabricated reality I would pick La Gloria Cubana. My standard would be a 30 or 40 year old MDO2. My shorter pub smoke would be one of those Spanish D5 size babies, and the new Glorias for any day with the letters “d-a-y” in them.
If I got into a street fight I’d pull out an Inmensos to fight with, and for parent teacher meetings I’d hand out MDO1’s all round.

Cohiba would likely be my answer. Initially I was leaning HU but when I realized this isn't about funds but just a thought experiment the answer became much more clear

Tough call.  When I look at my collection of bands in the large glass vase they're in. The dominant bands are Partagas, H Upmann and Cohiba.

If money was not object  Cohiba.  Lots of great sticks in various vitolas.  Actual smoking record as per the bands?  H. Upmann.   Mag 46/50's Connie A's, Sir Winnies, HUHC. Partagas is a close second in amount smoked.

Unlimited funds - Cohiba

Otherwise it is tough, but I give the nod to Monte. RA is a close second, but only because I love the RASCC so much.

Excluding Cohiba, my heart says Punch, but my practicality says Upmann.

This is an interesting question that's a little different than the "only one cigar for the rest of your life" question.

Cohiba Esplendidos is always my "one cigar" answer, but one Marca makes me ponder a little more.  I think I get more variety from Upmann than Cohiba but retain high quality and that's what I would want if I was limited by one Marca.

It's interesting but moot since my wallet certainly speaks up on this matter.  My wallet says Fabrica 5 and I'll live with whatever CCs I have left.

I would've for sure said Punch, but the portfolio 2026 is pretty limited.  If Including EL's and RE's I'd 100% take Punch as a single regular marca.  Upmann so close 2nd.
