MoeFOH Posted Monday at 11:08 PM Posted Monday at 11:08 PM Simple comp: Two questions (sometimes about cigars but mostly not). First question will ask you for your choice between two things. Second will be to ask you if that was a "don't make me choose!" or "No contest" question for you. Vote in the poll, discuss below if you wish . All participants go into the random draw for a 5-pack of MOFOH Robusto Trinity . (drawn Monday mornings AEST)
JohnS Posted Monday at 11:41 PM Posted Monday at 11:41 PM Tom Brady. And only just by a smidgeon! "Joe Cool" was amazing in the 80s, but Tom did win his first five Super Bowls by one-score margins! (Including the infamous 28-3 comeback vs. the Atlanta Falcons - we all remember that one!) 3
tbelle7 Posted Monday at 11:54 PM Posted Monday at 11:54 PM Super Bowl Wins: Montana 4, Brady 7 League MVPs: Montana 2, Brady 3 Pro Bowls: Montana 8, Brady 15 Brady dominates in longevity, yards, wins, and rings. 4
riderpride Posted Tuesday at 12:03 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:03 AM Montana played in the wild west, while Brady and this generation of QBs benefit from extra protection as well as their receivers after a few rule changes. Joe had Super Bowl perfection and went 4-0, while the Pats' kryptonite was Eli Manning. My nod goes to Joe. Cheers! 3 1
Lucas Buck Posted Tuesday at 12:11 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:11 AM Montana no contest. What @riderpride said. 3

Brady, but loved watching Montana & have mega respect for him and his career. This is how I arrived at my choice, too. 3
zacca Posted Tuesday at 12:18 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:18 AM Brady but this one’s a coin flip. It’s not about stats - it’s about having the X factor and being clutch. These two are among the best ever in any sport from that perspective. 1
Ford2112 Posted Tuesday at 05:45 AM Posted Tuesday at 05:45 AM The comeback kid because he took the hits. I just can't vote for anything in New England. Brady is obviously the QB of modern times but football seemed so much more dramatic when I was a kid. Montana was a badass. 3

Brady won the 2000s and 2010s. It's a different game. Montana could take a hit, Brady was next level. 1

Chibearsv Posted Tuesday at 12:40 PM Posted Tuesday at 12:40 PM I’ll take the QB that’s undefeated in Super Bowls. I can’t risk the chance that Eli Manning is on the opposing team. 1 1 1
Ruggerpgh99 Posted Tuesday at 02:06 PM Posted Tuesday at 02:06 PM My disdain for Tom Brady and his embarrassingly bad work doing color commentary on the games adds impact to this. Joe all the way. Can't Tom just disappear for a few years? 1 1
Goldeneye Posted Tuesday at 03:19 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:19 PM This was the hardest poll question for me yet as I wanted to go with Montana as I really am not a fan of Brady. Great poll question. 2
Capn_Jackson Posted Tuesday at 03:34 PM Posted Tuesday at 03:34 PM Difficult choice, but Brady. I'm not sure he was as tough as Montana, but he had so many factors throughout his long career that give him the edge, to me. Stats notwithstanding, more intangibles. 1

I think Brady is loathed because he played in New England. If he had played in a big football market, like Chicago or Texas or any place but NE, we wouldn’t be able to find the words to describe how great he was. Ken Gargett Posted Tuesday at 10:37 PM Posted Tuesday at 10:37 PM when it comes to number of wins, we seem to forget that this is a team sport. i suspect that there is not a team playing today that would not take either in a heartbeat. toss a coin but what montana did back in the day sold it for me. 3

Maybe there’s Brady loathing in the east, but not in Chicago. Jealousy maybe, but not hatred. Hatred is for the green and yellow. 2

Boxer31 Posted yesterday at 04:42 AM Posted yesterday at 04:42 AM Not even close - Pats suck, so do the Bruins and might as well add the Celtics in there too!!!!! Strange that I don’t hate the Red Sox (ok, off topic), even rooted for them. Will never vote for for Brady or Belicheat. 1
westg Posted 19 hours ago Posted 19 hours ago Men in tights, shoulder pads and helmets. Must be a really tough game. I will take the Brady Bunch boy. 2
ha_banos Posted 16 hours ago Posted 16 hours ago Has to be JM. I've no idea who the other guy is! Guess how old I am. You've no idea how excited I was when I realised my Welsh University had an American Football team, which I signed up for. My best play was, planting my shoulder into the ribs of an unsuspecting QB whose arm was cocked ready for the throw. My worst play was (WR) catching a throw, and while turning and hearing my knee crunch as I was hit.
gormag38 Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Man, this was a tough one for me. Montana was JUST before my time. But I'm old enough to remember folks talking very fondly about him; even when Steve Young was winning SBs. (By the way, totally off topic, but is Steve Young one of the most under-rated QBs of all time?? I feel like the dude gets no love anymore.) I remember all of Brady's Super Bowls. None more so than that dramatic come back against Atlanta. Very well may be the best SB I'll ever see. As for my answer, I selected Montana. The fact is is that Montana is 4-0 in SBs; Brady (while having been to 10) lost 3. Not apples to apples but still. If there was a big game I think the way everyone talks about Montana was that he would inevitably win. His record seems to back that up. Brady was lights out in big games too, but his record in the biggest one is tarnished. So for a one off I'm taking Montana. For a GOAT Brady is the clear winner. 1
