Popular Post El Presidente Posted November 12, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 12, 2025 For those of you who enjoy a cigar in the mornings, what are your current favourite morning cigars? Topic for this thread came from the Lizard Pod thread. To many, smoking a cigar in the morning is inconceivable. To others it is one of life's great pleasures! I am certainly in the latter group Trinidad Reyes and Trinidad Coloniales were until recently my go-to morning cigars. At today's prices I can't justify them as a daily. My hands down current favourite morning cigar is the Desnudo N7 Ninfas. They were blended for this role and they carry it off remarkably well. Yours? 5
Popular Post NYGuido Posted November 12, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 12, 2025 The Ninfas is becoming one of my favorites for this, as well as the Corta Suave (I like some clove and baking spice in the morning!). Having just gotten deep into the Cuban game this spring, I never knew Reyes NOT to be expensive, but I actually used to get a lot of Monte 4s from an EU colleague and would smoke those in the morning with a "dirty mocha" (coffee with half a packet of hot chocolate mix)--the Monte 4 was perfection for that pairing! 6
Popular Post tbelle7 Posted November 12, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 12, 2025 For me - the morning ritual of a cigar with my coffee is hard to beat. P2 or a Media Luna suits me well this time of day. 8
zacca Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 Bolivar Super Corona I kid, although I did do it once…rough night and I did an experiment to see if a punch in the face would help my day to right itself. I wish I was able to have a morning cigar more often but pretty much relegate to those that are ~45 mins…strength doesn’t bother me as much, so I’ve done Party Shorts, but I’ve also done Reyes and El Principe. Lately Sovereign Suns have been great. I’ve had some Ninfas aging for 60 days though and I think you’ve convinced me to give it a go in the AM. 2

El Niño Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 Desnudo Ninfa for sure. I really love the way the Desnudo Lancero pairs with morning coffee, but it's usually a little too long for a typical morning. 3
Popular Post Ford2112 Posted November 12, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 12, 2025 Ninfa Party Short RASCC Foundation Charter Oak Habano PC RG Perla Sovereign Suns HU HC Principe Toscano No longer on my radar: Cohiba Siglo I Reyes Coloniales Siglo II Montercarlos (too bad as I like them) JLP Petit Cetros (unobtanium). 6
TheCigarSoldier Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 Robusto Trinity has become a favorite for me. To be fair to that cigar, it's the Swiss army knife of Robustos with the amount of utility it provides. I can slot it just about anytime and be perfectly content. But I love it in the morning thanks to that coffee spine I get throughout and Milk Chocolate profile. Just superb. For other New Worlds: Warped La Colmena, Aladino Classic Robusto, Stoic Courage, Davidoff Millenium Robusto, or Davidoff Grand Cru No. 2. Cuban: H. Upmann Mag 54, Hoyo Epi Esp, or RASS. I typically will lean for a Robusto or Corona in the morning. 3
Rushman Posted November 12, 2025 Posted November 12, 2025 If I can squeeze in a morning smoke outside, I almost always reach for a RASCC. Just fits the bill for me. 4
Popular Post westg Posted November 12, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 12, 2025 Partagas Short. Rafael Gonzalez Panetela, Sancho Panza Non Plus. Lately I have been smoking minis at work they all taste the same, which is understandable. 😎 6 1
Popular Post Chucko8 Posted November 12, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 12, 2025 I enjoy a PLMC with a coffee when I get the chance. One with a few years of age on it to allow that caramel to have develop and meld with the coffee. A Cohiba Especiales is the ultimate from my experiences but just not really affordable in this current climate. 5
Popular Post QDOguy Posted November 12, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 12, 2025 Quai d'Orsay Corona is my favorite. 6
Boxer31 Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 PLPC and Trinis but started to ration those to only nice weather mornings. Just got in a prize pack of Sovereign Suns so going to put them in. Charter Oak ct Rothschild, PG gourmet and Artisans. 2
Duxnutz Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 Any Cuban but particularly Connie 1 and SCDH El Principe. Non Cubans I enjoy Connecticut wrappers. 4
Gemini_Man Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 Reyes, Partagas or RyJ Mille Fleurs, Monte Petit Edmundos are preferred. 4
griller Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 A cigar in the morning is a rarity for me, maybe 1-2x over the course of a year. I can say that a QdO 50 pairs well with an iced coffee. Also enjoyed an Upmann Coronas Major (tubo) over the summer (also with an iced coffee) and would do so again should the opportunity present itself. 4
MrBirdman Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 Similar to Rob, my go-to morning cigars for years were Reyes, Coloniales, and Siglo II. While I have plenty of each left, the ridiculous prices make them less satisfying as a morning smoke for whatever reason. Now my go-to’s are more diverse: NC side it’s the N1/N3 Rosado, Ninfas, and (as I mentioned on the pod thread) my personal favorite now is the Davidoff Grand Cru No. 2. They’re always constructed perfectly and 9 out of 10 times it’s a better cigar than the Trinis. They are not exactly cheap either, but if you look online regularly you can sometimes find them at a good discount. They are the only light bodied NC I know of that needs 2-3 years to smoke best. The No.2 and discontinued No.3 are also the only NC cigars I store with my Cubans at 65% RH. On the Cuban side, while I will occasionally break out a Siglo II or Coloniales, I’m now more likely to reach for a Monte 4. Also on the list are Especiales No. 2 and aged Choix/QdO50. However, as my comment on the recent podcast suggested, I will not buy new CC production until they stop using forced labor. Therefore, it could be a while before I replace my last box of Monte 4 (I prefer them relatively young, so BR isn’t an option). 4
Popular Post BG318 Posted November 13, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 13, 2025 Monte 5 QD 50 HU HC El Principe RASCC I still like the Reyes too. 6
CLP Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 I start every day with coffee and a cigar! MC4 has been this months smoke. Party Shorts and HUHC are also go-to alongside RGPE, and El Principe for stronger coffees. I do miss Cohiba Exquisitos. For me, those are the perfect morning coffee smoke. 4
Popular Post JohnS Posted November 13, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 13, 2025 I also don't get the opportunity to smoke in the mornings that often. When I do, I like a San Cristobal de La Habana El Principe or Por Larranaga Montecarlos with an espresso coffee (or two). 6
VasileDulap Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 I usually smoke in the morning on weekends, it used to be Reyes but nowadays is Hoyo du Depute, Hoyo Petit Robusto or RG Perlas. 2
JPark3 Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 Media Coronas or Petit Royales. They really hit my taste buds oh so perfectly. Just got into the Fab5 lines, so looking forward to having a more consistent morning smoke (for when time permits!). 4
Popular Post Chibearsv Posted November 13, 2025 Popular Post Posted November 13, 2025 I only enjoy a morning smoke with coffee on the weekends or on vacation. N1 is my favorite bar none. I’ve had plenty of others that work well but none better. 7
1LegLance Posted November 13, 2025 Posted November 13, 2025 Lighter, floral sticks for me....especially the little or long ones PLMC QdO Conora RG Panetela Back in the day La Gloria MdO #4, or a Diplo #4 (yeah 2 completely different sizes) Bolivar PC. 4
