This series seeks to explore whether a particular cigar is humidor worthy.

Cost these days is an issue for many so let's see if we can highlight some absolute standouts.  This should particularly assist those new to the cigar world.  

To be fair, most of the cigars we have featured to date have scored exceptionally well. Surprisingly well! 

Scoring is: 1-3 (Poor)   4-6 (Average to good)   7-10  (very good to excellent)  Use the Poll.

Today: Partagas Lusitania 

Hamlet's favourite cigar is the Partagas Lusitania. Lusi showcases how good Cuban tobacco is by delivering complexity/journey in the light/medium bodied realm.

Top level cigar that when on stands up to the very best of any cigar in the world. And they come in 10 count boxes.and 50 cabs!

They were my absolute favorite in 1990s along with the Esplendido and RyJ Churchill. I think they’ve all declined in quality since then but are still good.

I know I'm the outlier here. They don’t do it for me. I’ll take any other DC or Partagas over it. More for you all to enjoy. 😁

I love it but I love all DCs tbh, I've had more construction issues with this one than with any other DC though.

Humidor worthy without a doubt but between the Punch, the RA and the Partagas it's a tie for me.

Love them. Gigantes is my favourite up to 2 years and then Lusi takes it.

Punch DC is the best of the bunch.

It’s so hard to find the Punch DC I swear. I’ve got Lusis and HdMs covered but been trying all year to score a box of Punch.

Very good smoke in my book. I've had one or two over the last few years that were a little plugged. They both came from the same box though and to be fair, the others were absolute bangers out of the box. 

I still think the Punch DC may be the better stick for me, but the Lusi is not far behind.

Mostly good results with this classic Havana cigar. Some of the best cigars I have experienced. The cabs from the 90’s through about 2008 have been outstanding.

Everyone’s preference is different. I’d say minimum 3 years, ideally 5-10 for them to really shine.
