Midweek Shootout Poll: Vegas Robaina Famoso vs Punch DC

Midweek Shootout Poll - Over the past few months, we've sorted through our first Round of 32 cigars in this series and now have our Winners & Losers bracket matchups. 

There will be some brutally lopsided match-ups at the outset (last week's Cohiba Siglo V trouncing of the poor E2 for instance), and then we should see some titanic battles as we progress through the bracket (see below). 

This week's match-up:  Vegas Robaina Famoso vs Punch DC

Another easy one for me. Those Famosos don’t do a thing for me. Punch DC is a wonderful smoke.

I prefer the Vegas Robaina flavor profile, when aged, and I don't have the patience for a DC.

Punch DC. No contest. So far I am not sold on the Famosos but my sample size is small.

I like the VR, but LOVE the Punch. Regardless, both are great choices if you have the time & peace to commit to the experience.

Never had a Vegas Robaina. Have a box of Punch DCs that are resting.

Impossible comparison. Both great but so different for so many reasons.

After my beloved Cohiba it’s close between Trinidad & Punch for my second favorite marca. The only VR I really loved was the Don Alejandro though a Unicos often hits the spot. Famosos might be my least favorite Cuban Hermosos 4. Punch DC easy.

I have some 2012 Punch Double Coronas and some 2015 Vegas Robaina Famosos. I love them both for different reasons but honestly, like @rcarlson has said above, they're impossible to compare.

I don't know. Right now I prefer the Punch Double Coronas. In a few months I may change my mind and go for the Vegas Robaina Famosos.

I'm typically not a big Punch fan. My sample size is somewhat limited, but I've never been taken aback by the marca. The exception to this of course is the Punch DC. My first one I was astounded at how good it was (likely cause I wasn't expecting much) I may put it second in the DC lineup right behind lusi.

Not even close. Punch DC.  When they're on, they're like smoking a Snickers bar. The VR Famosos I've had never convinced me to buy a full box. Good? Yes.  But not great.

Big Punch DC fan here, but we seldom get the weather and when we do get the weather, my children rarely allow me the time…

Cigars with a completely different utility. Smoke way more Famosos that Punch DC, but Punch DC's everyday of the week. Punch DC's are in a completely different league.
