IT’S JERKY TIME!!!

Still about a month away from cheese season, but I found some pre-sliced packages of top round at $5.49/ lb. 3.5 pounds drying in the oven and I’m going over to see if they have more. 😀

Pepper jerky for me and a pound of plain for the Mrs. Dark brown sugar in this recipe, which I’ve never tried before. I’ll post reviews later.

I did this a couple of times and used a recipe with honey, which helped keep enough moisture in the thin slices that I didn't need to be worried about ending up with beef crackers.

Thanks for the reminder. I'd like to make jerky. Luckily, I have a commercial slicer in my kitchen and round is usually on sale.
