El Presidente Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 CC cigars that swing both ways? I noted on todays 2424 that I love the fact that the QD Corona can be enjoyed both "fresh" and aged. Two remarkably different profiles and both very enjoyable to me. I have this question asked of me on a regular basis. "Cigars that deliiver an enjoyable experience young and and yet transition into a vibarant and different personality with longer term aging?" From your experience, throw some more into the mix 1
Popular Post JohnS Posted August 2, 2024 Popular Post Posted August 2, 2024 I would think that the number one vitola mentioned on this forum, throughout the years, that satisfies both in its youth and aged, would have to be the Por Larranaga Petit Coronas. 10
riderpride Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 BPC. Those things can still bite after a decade or so before smoothing a little to be closer to a Coronas Extra in terms of strength in that flavor profile. Man I miss those. Cheers 3
Popular Post Li Bai Posted August 2, 2024 Popular Post Posted August 2, 2024 Plpc and bpc for me too. I would add the Epi 2 and the San Juan. 5
99call Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 Regios - Nice fresh raspberry, barnyard young. Old, offers very complex leathery earthy/nutty aspects Mag 46- Nice ass kicking liqorice forward nic beast young. Old, offers classic Upmann leathery shortbready notes JL2- Nice zesty choc-orange, bbq sauce young. Old, offers melded mocha, leathery, woodier notes 4
BrightonCorgi Posted August 2, 2024 Posted August 2, 2024 I once had a BBF SLB with a one month old box code that was fantastic, but that was over 20 years ago. 1

I came in to say this, caramel bombs with decent years on them, but that punchy sweet youth is just (maybe more) as good. 4
Popular Post loose_axle Posted August 3, 2024 Popular Post Posted August 3, 2024 I had a box of Hoyo DCs that smoked amazingly well in the first year. Wave loads of cinnamon, bit like the young San Juans. They've aged well but the cinnamon is but a whisper now. 5 1
Habanoschris Posted August 3, 2024 Posted August 3, 2024 PLPC & Sancho Panza Non Plus have been consistently great young as well as developing nicely with age for me. 👌 3
Chris P. Bacon Posted August 5, 2024 Posted August 5, 2024 For my taste, Partagas Shorts. Young they are feisty. After a few years of age they smooth out but still have that core tobacco flavor. 4

I'm pretty new to Fonseca but so far the newer box dates I have, have been approachable and I get the feeling that might just be common experience. Historically, HdM in general have always been decent when new to me. 2

Uwiik Posted August 10, 2024 Posted August 10, 2024 I like fresh RASS. I am quite surprised by how my 2023 box has been smoking right now. 2
