El Presidente Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 I never even knew that this was even a "thing". Do you do this? 2
jazzboypro Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 I don't play golf, and I don't smoke when working outside, so I don't have to do that but sounds like a neat trick.
JohnS Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 I could envisage myself doing that with a N7 Ninfas for example. However, trying that with the plethora of larger 55 ring-gauge Habanos Montesco cigars may prove more of a challenge!
chris12381 Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 I consider smoke in my eyes, nose and lungs part of the experience. 🤷🏼 1
Chibearsv Posted January 22, 2024 Posted January 22, 2024 I've tried it while putting since I didn't want to put a cigar on the wet ground, but it doesn't help since the smoke from the foot still gets in my eyes. Much easier to use the stage V clinger instead.

Or both in my case 😁 Good thing I don’t take either too seriously. I’m fine with 85 ish and a mangled cigar or 3. 1
Rushman Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Nope. I don’t smoke on the golf course anymore but that’s not the reason.
Tunkat92 Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Nope, much rather just suffer and never admit any discomfort.
Nevrknow Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 To much smoke in your eyes wimpy man? Hmmppfff
HDGSN Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 No. My experience is a cigar that wet will tend to build up tar.
benfica_77 Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Nope never done it and looks like FOH member haven't either. I'm not poo pooing it but doesn't see the point.
LordAnubis Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 The end of the cigar just gets sloppy. 1 1
gormag38 Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 I've never done this either. But at least now I have an excuse as to why I blade a chip shot or miss a putt. 😆
Chibearsv Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 Really, nobody but me has temporarily capped the head of a cigar with their tongue while it was in their mouth. Seems like such a natural thing to try if you want to breathe while a cigar is in your mouth. I'm not saying it matters or is successful, but nobody's even tried it? And yet others are saying "builds up tar" or "The end of the cigar just gets sloppy" and yet it's never been tried? I'm calling foul on you herd of sheep for not admitting that you are as big a moron as I am. 😜 1

Billy10 Posted January 23, 2024 Posted January 23, 2024 I’m one of those that smoke at least one cigar a round but avoid this by using a golf cart clip holder. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
