El Presidente Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 The question came up in a recent thread. Q How do you access FOH, "3 times out of 5"?
MagicalBikeRide Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Mobile - like > 95%. But never through an app. 1
raggie Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Generally via mobile! Sometimes on my desktop when speed is key, but mobile browsing works well for perusing.
Chibearsv Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 About 50-50 desktop and iPad but I'm guessing slightly more on the tablet.
Russell Posted December 18, 2023 Posted December 18, 2023 Mobile; web. Though also in my dreams when I miss out on a 24:24 box 3
Bada_Bing_NJ Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 Half and half. With new pixel 8 pro load pages/pictures twice as fast than 2020 IPad Pro.
gormag38 Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 I selected desktop as I typically like to catch up when I'm at work 🙊. But otherwise I'm almost strictly mobile through a web browser.
jazzboypro Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 95% PC. The remaining 5% is split between Laptop/tablet but only during summer. I never use my phone for that.
Hammer Smokin' Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 We'll see if this follows my CFL board. 50% or more will not access this site by cell phone.
dominattorney Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 99 percent mobile. I could never commit as many grammatical mistakes otherwise. 1

This is why I'm in the "desktop" camp. I don't mind browsing the forum on my phone, but I can't type worth a damn on my phone. It would take me forever to craft even the most basic response on my phone. I just hate using the onscreen keyboard. 3

Yea, but I'm usually like, waiting on my wife to buy something, get out of the shower, etc when I'm on the forum so it's just not feasible to me to come off as a reasonable human being. I recall one thread I felt strongly enough about to engage in dialog, with you I believe, that I took to my computer to type it out. Usually I am a more casual participant. Especially with photo posts, all my photos are on my phone and I'm too lazy to figure out a swift means to send them to my computer and make those posts from there. 2
Rushman Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 Primarily on mobile, likely 50/50 app vs browser.
HuffnPuffff Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 95% Tapatalk app on my iPhone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Glass Half Full Posted December 19, 2023 Posted December 19, 2023 I'm with @Corylax18 and @dominattorney. While the mobile is convenient for glancing when time allows, actually engaging/participating is so much easier with a proper keyboard IMO. 2

Hammer Smokin' Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 Less than 50% of FOH respondents access via cell phone, as I suspected. Don't worry FOH, you still aren't as old as the CFL board, where 62% of respondents did not access via cell phone.
SCgarman Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 Laptop in living room primarily. I like the 17 inch screen. 57 year old eyes! If in garage with a cigar, or bedroom then I'm using the phone.
Biggerfaster40 Posted December 29, 2023 Posted December 29, 2023 100% iPhone and 95/5 app/webSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
LLC Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Always on my phone. Never use a computer for FOH.
fisherclive Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 I don't use a computer for anything except setting up CCTV systems. Everything else is on smartphone.
RoryWoodworth Posted December 31, 2023 Posted December 31, 2023 I would say 70% cell phone 30% computer so far. Just hard to compete with the convenience on the phone. Although as a few other members have said, for anything more indepth or heavier engagement I agree being at a computer is preferable.
