Popular Post El Presidente Posted October 15, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 15, 2022 Di and I are food/bar pottering in Singapore today with friends before dinner tonight at the flashy Koma. It is unlikely I will get to a cigar until I catch up with Nate tomorrow for lunch/early brunch. I am tonguing for a JLS2 and a couple of glasses of good champers. Cigar smoking isn't the easiest thing to execute in this country so you look forward to the opportunities! The food is brilliant as always. The service ranges from excellent to clunky and that is largely due to their recovery from Covid dormancy. Love this place. What are you up to for the weekend? 8
Popular Post Chucko8 Posted October 15, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 15, 2022 Cigar wise this weekend I’ll do the same as pretty much ch every weekend. Try to smoke something from the review comp list. Take a heap of photos with grand plans of writing a review. Then not actually get around to it. Lol Been sitting in this for sometime. Maybe it’s time! 14
Popular Post Chas.Alpha Posted October 15, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 15, 2022 You look exactly like I remember you! I am still unpacking boxes, but my favorite is the new Weber grill! Will post a pick from the 1st and BEST meal in the last month over the weekend 7
Bartolomeo Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Flying down to South Florida to visit family and friends, looking forward to some sunshine 1
jakebarnes Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Probably not much in the way of cigars. But heading to Michigan and cheering my wife on at the Grand Rapids Marathon. Then probably hitting some of the local watering holes up there. She's become funemployed for the next week and a half, so might be able to convince her that she can drink wine while I smoke cigars somewhere in the days after the marathon. 3
fisherclive Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Going to a cigar event in Columbus, OH with a friend today. Erik Espinosa is going to be there. Lots of raffles for charity, should be a good time 2
Popular Post Fuzz Posted October 15, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 15, 2022 Took my parents out to lunch today for their 50th anniversary. 8

Hope to get back there soon as things are normal there. I use to smoke cigars after work at the Hilton Singapore Orchard. They had a dedicated glass room for smoking and decent happy hour prices. I am hoping to smoke a Monte A this weekend. Would like to polish off the box and use to store loose cigar since it'll fit everything. It's an '01 box that has been hit or miss. Could take 2 cigars to get a good one from this box 😢.
Russell Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 On a vacation with friends and our respective families on the coast. We are all staying together on the same property on the beach, which is amazing. Dogs, kids, great food, great cigars, and beautiful weather while we are here. I couldn’t ask for a more fulfilling weekend. 🍻 2
ha_banos Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Wife dragged me to a bootcamp this morning. Then went to a cafe to recover. Now I want to sleep. But driving her into town to hospital to visit her friend. Maybe get a cigar in later this evening when chilling. Let's see. No plans tomorrow. Must update the CV though and send it through to someone. Maybe pop in to see mum. Would love to get the laptop battery back in and shove it on flea bay. Been procrastinating. Also need to post a box of Dante's on BR. So must get registered! Must be a cigar opportunity there somewhere! And then it will be Monday again ... 😞 3

Low Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 Gonna finally finish my curio cabinet humidor conversion. Spanish cedar lining should be done today, and installing shelves tonight or early tomorrow. Trays should be completed tomorrow as well, with wiring being finalized tomorrow night. Hopefully starting to season late tomorrow or Monday. I'd include pictures but, like I do with every project, I forgot to take any at all 3

Popular Post Cigar Surgeon Posted October 15, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 15, 2022 Took possession of a new home on Friday, and the cigar studio / lounge build out started in earnest with the contractor. In just under 2 weeks it should be all complete. Very exciting. No more outside for this Canadian. Edit: Oh and a Springbank whisky tasting tonight. 10

How did you find enough for a tasting? I can barely find a bottle 1
Popular Post Capn_Jackson Posted October 15, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 15, 2022 Been sick for several days, and no cigars for me this entire week sadly. Today I felt a little better and decided to smoke.... meat. Some ribs about to come out after smoking them since noon. 10

Cigar-Therapy Posted October 16, 2022 Posted October 16, 2022 Went to my boxing instructor's house to watch the Wilder vs. Helenius fight. Brought some RASS and Epi 2 to share, but we never got around to lighting up. Usually after a long drawn out fight, a cigar is good to talk over the fight. Was not the case tonight. The fight ended in KO in the first round. Wilder landed a total of 3 punches… few but effective. I hate that the main events don’t start till almost midnight. Such a crappy time for a great sport. 2

I can barely find a bottle We're spoiled in Alberta. Something like 90% of the whisky allocation for the country comes through here first, largely due to our low taxation rate on alcohol and privatized stores. It also helps that as a result we have a number of whisky clubs, and this particular tasting was through a club so half the bottles came from members who donated the bottles for the tasting. 5 bottles were "local barley" editions and I can see why people go crazy over them. 1
Popular Post BrightonCorgi Posted October 17, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 17, 2022 Smoked an '01 Monte A for the Pats/Browns game. Cigar went the whole game. The box has been a little inconsistent. This cigar started off firm, but became "regular" in combustion around the half way mark. The flavors on Monte A's fall off with age a lot more than the other classic Monte vitolas. I have three left in the box. The '01's boxes are all over the place in flavor and construction. Ash was really firm and no relights were needed. 7
