This is an interesting one. The box is legitimate. It is a recent arrival from PCC and can be traced directly to the shipment from Havana. The cigars themselves are superb. The seal is

Maybe the company that prints the labels for HSA, also makes the fake labels, and they sent HSA the wrong batch.

No need to inspect..I’ve really simplified my cigar buying the last 3 years… FOH or nothing 😁,

Print lines visible in the serial number and fake warranty seal number on bottom right of second photo jumped out at first glance.

For the record, warranty number checks out to box code: GEL FEB 22

What about the 9999999999 on the balance of the numbers.

Bingo

9999999999999999 hit's again.

I first saw this in 2012. Then again in 2015 and 2016 on Siglo VI and VI.

Always 9's when it occurs.

I assume it is the default setting.

Main hologram is asymmetrical and off centered.

I have boxes with the shield off as much as this one. Appears to be within the printing range.

The bar code numbers are never anything but clear and distinct in font.

Many aspects of the warranty seal have red flags.

  • Microprinting
  • Serial Number font
  • Seal colour and feel
  • barcode looks odd.

The centering I could agree with. The main diagonal bar has a round element meant to be directly above the top of its upper limit. From what I can tell this round piece and the flourishes to the left and right of it are completely out of alignment with the balance of the seal. See below for intended symmetry (from CCW).

Edit - I may be confusing static elements of the seal with the black light portion.

That seal from CCW is the previous version from 13 years ago and was printed on different material and larger.

Like I said, I have boxes that look identical to the OP. It's within the margin of error.

I'm confused. Where is anyone seeing all these 9s? I've never scrutinized seals.

Microprinted in several places on the warranty seal.  Easiest one to see is right of the word “LES” under the blue shield

Surgeons is very apt, but my first thought was crime scene investigators.

I was leaning towards fake because of the font below the barcode and the lines through it. But did not catch the 9's in the micro-printing. Great info.
