Popular Post El Presidente Posted June 11, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 11, 2022 Post up the cigar gems as you come across them. Keep your CORO. Smoked a magnificent Juan Lopez Seleccion Number 2 as I cooked a Paella yesterday afternoon. Sweet toasted toboacco, orange zest, milk chocolate. Pure bloody bliss. 94. FEB 21 12

I'd take JL2 as my desert island cigar if I had to choose. 3

SCgarman Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 Juan Lopez 2 is a great stick. I think they are like a PSD4 on steroids. Much fuller bodied. 2

Homer Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 I smoked couple of weeks ago Por Larranaga picadores that was really good. Superb value since the price at cigar lounge was 12$. 3
Popular Post gustavehenne Posted June 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 12, 2022 I smoked one of the most beautiful cigars I've ever smoked yesterday, which was very very kindly gifted by @El Presidente (thank you mate!). The Vegas Robaina Don Alejandro and it surpassed my love of the Hoyo DC and the Partagas Lusitania (of course it would do, as an unavailable discontinued cigar). It had a cream, cake and biscuit character and evolved beautifully. I love the Double Corona format and although it was a bit of a windy the aroma, the taste and the Peroni that went with it were perfect. Luckily I have one more in the humidor but that will be kept for a special occasion. Now, I need to source more of these.... 17
Popular Post Chas.Alpha Posted June 12, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 12, 2022 Proof the @Elpresidente is a good father. He gifted the Haugen twins each the same cigar! I’m saving mine for a special occasion, tho I did ask if that would be considered rude! Don’t worry, @stevenhaugen Rob told me that he likes you best... 😔 6
BrightonCorgi Posted June 12, 2022 Posted June 12, 2022 I have a recent box of JL No.2's that are rocking as well. JL No. 2's have been great cigar for over 20 years. Cannot think of a bad stretch ever with them. I would rather they be without the band, but that ship sailed in the marketing department. 3
westg Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 Cheep and cheerful whilst working in the WA Pilbara. I wasn't expecting anything from the Fonseca Cosacos. Delightful , absolutely packed with tobacco, perfect construction, pumped away at it for an hour. Coffee, biscuit, baked bread flavours. A nice surprise thanks to everyone's favourite moderator. 🤗 3 1
rcarlson Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 JL1 (MGL JUL 21). Yeah, I'm a fanboy anyway. But I'll be damned if these guys don't always punch above their weight. 2
Popular Post Chas.Alpha Posted June 13, 2022 Popular Post Posted June 13, 2022 A little kip and and I’m back! The gold: San Cristobal Harimau, RAT DIC 20 Here’s one from the Christmas sampler last year. I’d give this review to @madandana because they would understand the reference. The Minnesota State Fair, circa 1974. Fairgrounds, hay and salted caramel apples. Back then, the U.S. senators and congressmen would serve cups at the milk booth, fresh and delivered at 38 f! This cigar brings me back to those days. Easy draw, could certainly be made hot by a fast smoker. Why be in a hurry? For those that are patient, this brings an hour’s worth of joy, maybe an hour and a half. So glad I got a box!!! Barnyard, salted caramel, apple and honey. A 94 all day, regardless of not winning a stuffed animal... 😀 8
cigaraholic Posted June 13, 2022 Posted June 13, 2022 Fortunately I did not make the mistake I have so many times, buying a box and waiting years to try one only to find they’re delicious and long gone. I tried this cigar soon after I got a box, It reminded me of tasting a great young red wine. I could taste loads of sleeping flavor, didn’t know what was sleeping but I hoped it would be good and bought more. It took quite a few years, but it was worth the wait to get to Cointreau City🌈 PRA JUN10 4

El Presidente Posted June 14, 2022 Author Posted June 14, 2022 Busy day today but had time for a Fonseca 1 2014 I think you have to be in the right mindset for the Fonseca 1. They can be lacklustre at times and yet again.....they can be all marshmallow, cookies and milk coffee. I think it has more to do with my state of mind than the cigar. Todays was the latter. 94. Drop dead gorgeous delivery.

Drop dead gorgeous delivery. I find the Fonseca No. 1 to have potpourri flavor to them with a little marshmallow. The most unique flavor profile out of the production and great Cazadores experience. Totally fond of the Fonseca No. 1 and goes great with a 1948 Fonseca Vintage Port. 😍 1
