Ugh, why all this Brett Favre drama? Why would you even make a retirement statement? Playing at MVP level, you have to know whether you're done or not when you make a statement since clearly it's not a physical issue. Kind of hurts your credibility and not super cool for the Bucs...although the best thing the Bucs could get is him coming back.

His wife must be brutal to live with.

Well, it's only been 2 months and that's the same as every year.

Best part? “The news also comes one day after a collector shelled out $518,000 for the ball used on Brady's last career touchdown pass

Did he have to inflate it to display properly?

Like everyone didn’t see it, but wth with the drama?

It is very odd. If he had just said he'd wait and see the sports world would have been hanging on his every word with speculation rampant on every sports show every day. Instead, it was a big sendoff and then no one cared for two months. I just don't see any upside to announcing retirement in Jan and unretiring in Mar.

He had to know he wasn't retiring since it's not physical. If he had unretired in June or July it might be feasible that he really thought he was done but was getting sick of being screeched at by the wife after 6 months at home. But 2 months in? Come on. He was never retiring.

I didn't see that one coming :cigar:

i told you it was a near certainty. would have been far more surprising if hen had not.

i suppose team management sent out an SOS when they missed out on wentz. just as well that the NFL does not have a regulation system. we'd be a trivia question.

Yah maybe that was the rub. 2 months of peace before getting back to work. Media trolling at its best. Not a fan but hats off if that was his design.

have you seen his workouts?

Coupled with double-lasik surgery, you're sure to be at least 7-10 this year.

Guess this means Gronk is staying too.

I would say so. From his YT channel:

The only thing I can think of is that the leak of the retirement made him feel the need to force a statement or pissed him off to where he just did it to stick it to the media for the premature reports.
