Juliano88 Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 I have a very diverse rotation. I smoke cigars from 38 all the way to 56. As mentioned by someone up top, a good cigar is a good cigar. 2
cigaraholic Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 I also will smoke anything from a pencil to a donkey dick, it’s short fat cigars I try and stay away from. They’re a hothouse waiting to happen. 2
Rhinoww Posted March 3, 2022 Posted March 3, 2022 I have a pretty diverse collection but I tend to stay around 48/50 rg or hit the 40/42 depending on available time. Few super thin or super thick are in the regular rotation but they all get burned. I don’t tend to go larger than 54 rg though. 1
anacostiakat Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 Not really. I still like a variety. Sadly there is not enough stock for me to really sample a variety these days. LOL 1
riderpride Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 I've always loved the 38-47 mark as it hits my 3 faves 1) Corona gorda 2) dalias 3) pc I rarely buy a box of 50 and over, but will still try singles on occasion. Rio Seco is a perfect example; I love the flavor but will only go so far as to grab a box of 10. Cheers 3
joeypots Posted March 4, 2022 Posted March 4, 2022 I'm right in the middle as well. 42 to 50 suits me best. I'll smoke skinnys and BFDBDGs but the coronas gordas is my favorite vitola. It's been this way for me through my whole Cuban cigar journey. 1
Popular Post Connoisseur Kim Posted March 5, 2022 Popular Post Posted March 5, 2022 My CC ring gauge range was used to be 42-52 when I was new to CCs, but became 32-50 after joining FOH and having LGC MdO 4 during herf with @Raskol. Although I'm huge skinny CC fan, I also have 52 RG and above staples like Upmann Connie A and Monte 1935 Leyenda and I wish I have multiple boxes of these CCs as well 😄. 8
Tstew75 Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 I've never been a fan of large RG cigars, but I definitely smoke less than even 2 years ago. I used to be excited to pull out a La Trova-sized-cigar now & again, not so much anymore. In fact the only 52+ i reach for ever is a PSE2, only cause I love em'. I love me some skinnies but damn they're hard to find now. CoLas are $$$$ & Fundys have lost their Trini soul in the past few years. That leaves me with bunches of Robustos, Coronas & Coronas Extras to smoke daily, which is just fine. I still put away gem boxes of Winnies, CoLas & Espys when I can, but yea. 1
williamthewolf Posted March 6, 2022 Posted March 6, 2022 50/52 still is preferred. But I have recently been smoking larger and smaller regularly. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Havanaaddict Posted Monday at 05:23 PM Posted Monday at 05:23 PM I was just thinking about this and then I found this post! So I would maybe smoke a 52 to 54 RG once in a great while and that's saying a lot as I was smoking 4 cigars a night! I was a big fan of 42 to 46 for my reg. routine, but I still enjoyed a Lancero cigar. Then I got on a robusto kick and that was my go to all the time. But with in the last 5 years or so I have started smoking 52-54 as my go to cigar every night as my first cigar than my 2nd cigar will be anything from a 42 to 50. It is fun how I would have never looked at a 52-54 RG cigar before, now it is my go too! 3
CigarCulture09 Posted Monday at 06:19 PM Posted Monday at 06:19 PM I tend to stay in the 38 to 54 range. 56 is usually my limit. 2
Tootoon Tan Posted Monday at 09:21 PM Posted Monday at 09:21 PM Its hard to base preference on ring size for me. I know my brands and their taste and strength. So I base my choice based on available time, what meal I had before my smoke, and my environment. Cigars with smaller ring size tend to require more attention; sipping vs. puffing away. But let's say just for the sake of discussion that I'm solely going by ring size, then I rather smoke a Dalia over a Robusto, or a Corona rather than a Churchill. 2
Lucas Buck Posted yesterday at 12:58 AM Posted yesterday at 12:58 AM Churchills were my favorite size for many years in my early smoking career. In fact I bought boxes of every Havana Churchill I could find. Robustos were a close second. Eventually the 42rg and under became my favorites and still are to this day. Love my thin sippers! 3

loose_axle Posted yesterday at 07:12 AM Posted yesterday at 07:12 AM I started off around the 48-52 ring gauge area. Got on here and tried everything from 33 - 46 on a regular basis but it didn't really do it for me (still love a good lancero though). Have found recently that 54-56 is nice and even had a 60 the other day that was fantastic (I can hear the cries of heresy now) and finding thicker ring gauges are much more enjoyable for me. 1
