Identify My Reverse Blind Robusto Extra 2020 (RBRW) - Hint Included

This robusto extra has a lovely Colorado Maduro wrapper, with a cold draw of coffee and a bit of cocoa. Draw is snug, which normally doesn’t bother me, but I find with 50+ RG a snug draw often means poor smoke production. Unfortunately that was the case here. 

Opening is cocoa and cream, not much else. From the get go the burn is wonky and quite uneven, requiring several touch ups. Eventually it burns consistently but never really evens out. 

By the halfway mark the elbows behind to show, but there is still a nice coffee note. Cream and chocolate are gone though. In order to keep the cigar lit I have to resort to some double puffing, which doesn’t help.

It’s pretty unsatisfying when you get worse smoke production out of a robusto extra than you do out of any skinny. Remarkably the flavors are still intense, but so are the tannins. I honestly wonder whether I should start “wet-boxing” when I smoke large RG cigars, which isn’t very often. 

Back half is more of the same, coffee and some wood. Intense but also a bit edgy, probably more a reflection of the construction than the blend. Goes out in last third and isn’t relit. 

86 points. Pretty disappointing, which gets to my hint:

I had this set aside as a special reward smoke if I hit my target LSAT score. Just missed on my first attempt, so this went back in the humi. Retook in early October and last night I got a score back that more than hit the mark (180 out of 180). Suffice it to say this is a premium cigar of some kind. 

Given how it went, I think I might break out an Esplendido or Winnie tonight or tomorrow for a proper celebratory smoke.

I'm going with a Cohiba Talisman as well.  Partagas E2 was my first guess, but I don't know if that would be special enough to break out for a celebration such as this.
