2010/11......what were your top 3 regular production cigars.

Deep water Horizon explosion and oil spill,  David Cameron becomes prime minister, the world was memerised with the trapped Chilean miners, NZ Christchurch earthquake, Egyptian revolution, Charlie Sheen fired from Two and a Half me.   That should help you think back :D

What were your top 3 regular production cigars at the time? CC or Nc or both.

How have things changed today? :thinking:

Based on the "Previous Smokes" section in my humidor inventory app, since I can't remember, these are the 3 I smoked the most of:

Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short Story
Brick House Robusto
La Gloria Cubana Serie N JSB

Dont smoke the Short Story anymore as I prefer that great Hemingway taste to last longer, so I have switched to the Signature and Classic. In fact, doesn't appear I have had a Short Story in about 10 years now.

Currently working through a mixed box of Brick House Toros I was generously gifted and also hadn't had one in 10 years, but now remember why I smoked so many.
Tasty smokes and reasonably priced

The La Gloria Serie N JSB appears to be discontinued now, or I would pick some up to try out again since I had smoked several boxes of them.

Theres a few others that were just barely short of making the list. May have to pick some up (assuming they are still in production) and see why I smoked so many. Might be a nice trip through memory lane and rediscover some good smokes.

As you can see, I smoked mainly nc's back then by about a 3:4 ratio

Watched ‘the 33’ on the plane just this year. Great movie and only vague recollection of the news coverage here in the US at the time, most likely cause, remembering things is hard..

Easier to recall my favorite stick back then, and one I wished I’d bought a helluva lot more of…

Trinidad Robusto T

Rounding out my top 3, from memory were Monte Petit Edmundos (went through several boxes) and Upmann 2s/Royal Robustos

Monte 2, Hoyo Excalibur Presidente (NC), CAO Colombia Torpedo.

I always had Esplendidos when I could afford them but wouldn't call them part of the "regular" rotation.  10 years ago I mostly smoked when golfing so cheaper inoffensive cigars fit the bill.  Now, I spend more time just enjoying or trying out cigars while relaxing on the patio.  I certainly have "go to" cigars when I don't feel like I want any surprises.  And I still do enjoy the Excaliburs for the golf course.

Hmmm... That was a while back, but here are a few that were pretty regular in my smoking activities:

---SLR Serie A;

--Punch Punch;

--Cohiba Siglo II;

--Upmann Mag 46;

--Monte #4;

Really, REALLY, miss the Serie A. The entire SLR line was my favorite when I really started getting "serious" into Havanas in the late 90's. What an epic kick in the nuts the powers that be have done to this line. Every size, from DCs on down to the smaller versions, were pretty consistently well made, aged well, and able to find from multiple vendors. Oh well.

10 years ago? I have trouble with 10 minutes ago.

I think I was burning through  cabs of:

BCE

BCG

RASS

And boxes of:

MC#2, 3, and 4

Back then I had some Siglo III tubos and I probably had some CORO, Espy, Siglo IV and VI, but they never were a part of a regular rotation.

Was more into Lonsdale's then, but pretty much the same stuff beyond that.  Now it's just Fonseca for Lonsdales, maybe Encanto's (those are Lonsdale-ish right)?
