My favorite.  I actually had this conversation around 2000.

"These are counterfeit Cuban cigars."

"But they are still good cigars, no?"

To the point. Years ago, my cousin came back from vacation in the Bahamas with a box of - yep you guessed it- Cohiba Esplendidos. These were the first "Espys" I had ever smoked. While these were certainly tobacco, and rolled with some skill, I remember having the same reaction as this 10 count cigar merchant. What's all the hype about? I wouldn't pay $10 a stick for these... It put me off of Cohibas for some years.

In 1999, on our trip to see Sonnenfinsternis in Austria, I wandered into a tobacconist in Vienna. I decided to give the Espy one more chance. 

I'm sure that I can just leave this story right here...
