From the Hip: New Edicion Limitada Packaging

Simple question that we have been asked to put up.

Are you a fan of the new Edicion Limitada Packaging .......Yes or No.   

This not a question about pricing, simply a question of aesthetics/tradition et al.

Fun change of pace, but it would make for an ugly status quo. Honestly, I find most dress boxes pretty garish, I think most people are just used to the look. Semi Boîte Boxes and SLBs for me all day.

They are charging such a premium they should make them more special than the standard box.  Now the tricky part is how it will tetrises in the humidor

I like the boxes. I don't like the insane prices they are attaching to them. They've priced me out. I will be sticking to regular productions for boxes and if it really interests me I might treat myself  to quarter box of a new EL but it won't be happening often.

I guess if you're charging a premium it should come in premium packaging.

That said, I still prefer old school packaging. Charge less by leaving out the overhead of the presentation.

I think it's good change of pace for adding special collectivity although it charges more premium as @Habana Mike said (still look better than any NC packagings IMHO). Man, I really like to get Monte Supremos, since it got high scores on Zoom review! These EL boxes reminds me something...

I like the classic boxes better. A cigar box doesn't need to be flashy. The cigars inside just need to be excellent!

It's super tasty curry for sure! Too bad that I'm the only one who likes this spicy curry in my family.

Much agreed! Classics like Sir Winnie box still look nicer than flashy boxes!

I think the packaging is nice, and should be for the premium you pay, much like the monte linea. But call me old school, I’d take the traditional boxes.

I don’t mind the special packaging, however, I would rather have an extra stick or 2 and plain packaging.

Not a fan. I guess I am more traditional and makes for difficult storage for long term aging.

What I’d really like is for HSA to keep making reasonably priced, good-quality regular production. If selling over-priced, nicely packaged LEs helps then great. Does it?

I’m not averse to a change in boxes and it’s nice to see some effort being made. I’m not sure if its the pictures but the colour of these boxes looks pretty unappealing to me, maybe they’re better looking in the flesh?
