Well I just bought a new and bigger humidor and now that it’s been seasoned I made the transfer of boxes.  I keep a fairly good record of what I’ve bought here and there.  That said, it was a good opportunity to reconcile my records with the actual inventory.  I was surprised at how little Bolivars, Ramon Allones, and zero PL. Plenty of RJ, Hoyo, and HUpp along with Juan Lopez.  My big surprise was that I had more JL1s than anything else...including JL2s.  I love both and prefer the 1 but didn’t know I had 4 boxes.  The online humi will add to things soon and there are of course some other misc boxes.  Have you looked at your inventory of late and found some surprises?

A box of '08 Sir Winston's I did not realize I had and now need to figure out what to do with since new boxes of SW's are coming in.

I guess I'll just vacuum seal the new boxes and keep in the wine cellar.

This is a surprise I would love to experience.  Despite having 3 desktops and a rather large cooler, I know what and where it all is.  When I'm contemplating what to smoke, I'm mentally running through each container, sorting and rummaging so that when I make my selection, it's just a matter of getting to that very spot to grab what I want.

I do get mini surprises when I think I'm out of a certain mareva and find an additional one buried in one of the desktops.  It is a rare occurrence, though.

I did not realize how many boxes of JL no. 2 I had until this fall when I took inventory.   I thought I had about 4-5 but there were more in the cooler. Apparently I went on a drunken spree buying both PSP and clearance boxes when the prices were lower.

This is about the only way I can manage to age cigars....   Forget them.  And it’s always a nice surprise to find a forgotten box!!

Four boxes of Monte 4...…….from '14.

I knew I had gone deep on these, but thought I had smoked more of them.

Two of these are PSP from you know who...….

I recently opened a box of Perlas from 2016 that were also hand lettered with PSP on the bottom.  This box did not come from FOH so I was sort of taken aback that other vendors may be using the same formula?  And besides, the PSP from FOH that I have received had the red sticker.

The worst is the opposite; looking for a box of cigars that you swear you have, but are long gone...  I've driven myself near crazy looking for the box I smoked or sold years ago...

I have some stock in my locker that were investments at the time of purchase. Recent FoH auction results suggests that they are now lottery prizes in regards to worth.

This is definitely a 1st world problem. To own so much we forget what we have.

I guess my drunken JL no. 2 purchases can now be qualified as investments since they were ranked 14 this year by Cigar Aficionado ? glad I went extra deep!

Mine was a cooler shipped to a friends house and finding ERDM Lonsdales I forgot I had, but also the fact my friend (who up to this point had only ever smoked flavoured cigarillos) had smoked half the box!

yikes.

PSP is an foh exclusive... not sure how any other vendor would have done this. Maybe they are fakes lol, (that is sarcasm)

JL2 will never be qualified as an investment, sorry...lol but who wants investments? Smoke and enjoy them!

You sure you didn't buy them from somebody that buys on FOH? I've never seen "PSP" before, just stickers.

As for myself, I unfortunately downsized my collection a bit after deciding to be living overseas for another couple years. I did find some gems though--2010 HdM du Prince, H.Upmann 46 and 50s all from 2010-2014, and a bunch of H.Upmann Monarchs which I didn't know i had. Apparently they are pretty good?
