When we got together my wife had an 18 month old girl. For years she tried to convince me that we needed another child. Hating change and liking our lives as it was I reluctantly gave in.  After 2 years of trying to get pregnant, 9 months of a tortuous pregnancy, and 4 days in the hospital we finally got to bring this guy home today. I’ve got to admit it. She was right and I was wrong.  What an absolute blessing.

Similar situation for me when I got re-married. I had two boys 8 and 10 and thought I was done... my daughter is now 8 and I feel blessed. Congratulations!

Said the same thing for 15 or so years with my ex wife. It was actually a decent part of why we divorced. Even though we mainly myself both said no kids entering the relationship. Anyways two years after separation I had a daughter. Now I can’t imagine life without her. Truly changed me for the better. Now I’m a mongrel with a dinner suit.
