John, all day long. The soul in that  English voice still makes me stop and listen. i think Rolling Stone Magazine had a poll and Lennon was voted #5 all time greatest R&R singers. I was 20 when he was murdered. Pistols, ugh.....

Me also, 20 years old. I was just at the Hard Rock Casino casino last night in Ft. Lauderdale where they had some displays of jackets he wore along with front page articles from different newspapers around the county about his death. I was reading them and it made it seem all surreal again. What a shame.

Tough choice, grew up singing their songs on an old fashioned karaoke machine. I vote for John's though.

It's always fascinating a thing to me when confronted with the task of separating the art from the artist. It can be a very difficult thing to do. And there are far more intriguing and potentially curly ones than these two chaps... but, that aside, a great and thoroughly enjoyable poll commentary to read through!

To the random winner of the sampler, that goes to @golf4less !!

Congrats!

Please PM your details to @First Lady so Lisa can dispatch your prize.

Thanks to all who participated. Next 50/50 poll will be up soon!

i'm too late to this one but after what a mate, who dealt reasonably extensively with him, had to say about mccartney, i'd go whitney houston ahead of him. it was definitely nothing to suggest the bloke was anything but an utter tosser.

that said, even if i had not heard what he had to say, i still would have been john. always had a soft spot for ringo though.
