Popular Post MoeFOH Posted January 26, 2019 Popular Post Posted January 26, 2019 At some point, probably about 15-20 years ago, I started collecting coffee cups on my travels... Yep. Exciting stuff. I don't know why. I guess I thought they'd be a very functional version of that token tourist souvenir thing, something useful and something that I'd see a lot and have remind me of the trips, etc. Anyhow, friends and family started to take note of this behaviour and just decided that I liked coffee cups in general... Birthday, Xmas, Catch-ups, "Hello, haven't seen you in a while, here's a coffee cup!" , and so on. Pretty soon, I had coffee cups out the wazoo. I don't even know where they all are now. Which is troubling, since they just about require their own storage shed. Anyhoo, that said, I do love a good coffee cup. So I thought I'd post a few of the ones I have to hand (the vodka one is from my kids, which is an interesting insight on its own ). So if anyone else has a favourite or a collection (dear God, don't let it just be me!)... Post em' up if you do! (Apologies if there's an existing thread that's done this already. I searched but couldn't locate anything... but that's no guarantee with the um, quirky, Invision search function : )) This one was called something like "It's hard to get a handle on contemporary art"... hence the lack of a handle. I think it might have just been a manufacturing stuff-up that the marketing dept had to resurrect best they could... Well, they got me!... hahaha. 5
Popular Post JohnS Posted January 26, 2019 Popular Post Posted January 26, 2019 My Abbey Road mug gifted by my sister for my birthday a few years back. Yes, this is special! 5
Popular Post Wailbait Posted January 27, 2019 Popular Post Posted January 27, 2019 Not a funny or ironic mug but apparently my wife’s grandmother knew these potters in Cape Cod and she had this particular mug in the 60s. The potter’s Grandkids run the business and they still make the same pattern. I love it. 7
prodigy Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 After watching "wolf of wall Street", I found out my mom did her fair share of quaaluds in the 80's. When I asked her about them, she said, "the movie did a really good job of explaining how they work" haha. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G891A using Tapatalk 1 2

Jimmy_jack Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 Nice! I get one every year for Father's day and grab at least one on travels. I'll post up some of my favorite. Also as for an attempted acquisition. My wife and I love New Orleans. We always hit Cafe du Monde. I wanted a cup from them real bad, and not a retail cup. I wanted a used one with character. My lovely wife kept trying to convince me to just take the one I was drinking from and leave a larger tip to cover it. Needless to say I was a coward. In my mind they had agents looking out for that very thievery lol.Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk 1

ayepatz Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 I can’t share a pic of mine, or I’d have to ban myself for breaking rules on forum decency. It’s a white mug, with the letters “UNT” in black on it. I’ll leave it to you to guess the colour of the handle...? 1 1
99call Posted January 27, 2019 Posted January 27, 2019 one day I will own one of these two, and that will be one fine cup of coffee/tea. 1
