Doctorossi
Are you looking for codes on boxes (of any vintage) that we encountered in 2018 or codes indicating manufacture within the year 2018, specifically?
Guest Nekhyludov
Best 2018 box codes from my purchases have been MSU and UEB. MSU has been a mystery to me. Apparently, they roll fantastic cigars, but can't always manage to put bands on them?
Popular Post Bri Fi
I agree. MSU for me as much as they upset Rob. LGCMDO 4 (MAR) and Bolivar Petit CoronaS (FEB). Visually not the best, but they had the best flavor and burn.
Cayman17
1. UEB (Epi 2, Siglo I, Mag 46 come to mind) 2. MOL (JL 2, Esplendidos) 3. BUP (Lusitanias, CoRo) 4. BRE (Upmann 2) 5. ARS (Fundadores, Famosos) 6. MSU (Partagas Serie E No. 2, Boli PC) Most of my PSP boxes of UEB, MOL, and BUP cigars are vacuum sealed now, but here is a pic of some beautiful HQ CoRo bearing the BUP factory code:
Bram Smoker
BRE and MSU for me. I know the quality control issues that plagued MSU with the packaging, but the cigars were top notch.
rabidraccoon
MSU Partagas E2’s for sure
HDGSN
MSU for the ones I have seen in person. BRE and MOL are what stick out the most in memory as having the most PSP/HQ listings.
joncat
MSU Partagas E2 and Cohiba Talisman have been outstanding. UAO Partagas E2 have also been excellent.

I have read reports that cigars stored this way can benefit from such treatment (lack of oxygen exposure). I’m not a scientist and don’t want to derail this thread, but that’s why I vacuum sealed several PSP and HQ (and clearance, let’s be honest) boxes in 2018. It’s my little science experiment. To keep us back on track, here is a pic of some BUP Lusitanias and the infamous box of bandless Bolivar PC that started the MSU factory QC controversy last year ?

I have 7 mastercases down as fails for BRE Upmann Number 2. Outside of that it was a solid code. Even with the Upmann number 2 debacle, it finishes in the top 25.
