2018 has been very generous to me, I can only hope that 2019 follows suit. I do know it will find me moving to a new house in the February time frame.

As for cigars on NYE... I'm guessing a short format cigar will be in order. The high temperature Monday is supposed to be 38°F (3°C) with wind and drizzle. Tuesday is supposed to be 21°F (-6°C) so chances are slim I brave the great outdoors to smoke a cigar that day either. No matter, there is always Scotch ?

Edit: The actual high temperature yesterday (Tuesday) was 19. I did brave the cold and smoked a yard 'gar. The cold definitely affects the flavor and smoke-ability of the cigar.  I think it actually froze between puffs!

Going to a massive house party at a friends house.

I’m determined to turn this

Into a drinking game so I’ll be too sloshed to enjoy anything fancy - I’ll smoke whatever NC this buddy has at home - usually some Padron.

For years  MonteA was my NYE cigar. Because this year was the best I can remember in almost every area, I’ll probably burn a CGR.

My CCs are still in the basement waiting to be ready, so it's a Nicaraguan for me.

However, trying the Padron 1926 for the first time.  I love the 1964s, and I hear the 26 is dynamite.

Quiet night in for us.  I'll whip up something good for dinner, crack a nice red and then a Prosecco for the main event.  If the weather doesn't suck too bad, I'll brave a HUHC or Reyes outside.  A 2015 late January resolution was to get my weight in check.  I received a Paleo diet book for XMas that year.  Hint was taken...dropped ~50 lbs that first year. :D  Not adhering to Paleo 100% these days, but enough to keep things in check along with 2-3 days per week at the gym.

Getting married New Year’s Eve.  Plan is a Cohiba Robusto with my groomsmen smoking Monte 2 and Party Short, all from here.

Losing weight has not been successful so In 2019, my resolution will be to change to metric and be able to say I went from 260 to 118. NYE will be quiet with some suds with the wife and cats. Temp will be -16°C so a double corona is probably out...

Planning on a nice quiet night. I’m cooking Beef Boutguignon for dinner and my wife and I will have some champagne after the kids go to bed.

As for resolutions... I bought a penalton bike for my wife for Christmas, and I’ve made it a goal to use it quite a bit as well. Also, I need to be better at setting money aside. It 2018 was year two of working for myself, and while I made significantly more than last year, I was not very good at setting much aside.

Have ordered some live lobster to pick up New Year’s Day so that will be part of dinners NPD then maybe a BHK56 after dinner.

I’ve only ever made one New Years resolution and have kept it ever since.

For us a quiet evening at home with a nice dinner and wine.

Followed by the traditional Monte A from an '08 box and some decent Champagne.

The Monte A typically gets me from dinner until past the ball drop.

Will be quiet at home. Most likely sushi for dinner, with some sparkling Franciacorta rosé.

Temps will determine whether or not I can get in a cigar during the day.

Happy New Year everyone.

What are your New Years Eve Plans and .....Cigar!

I was going to say NYE resolutions :cigar:Now people will crap on NYE resolutions but I have watched people drift through life over the years with not a goal in sight. Anything that can spark to journey to betterment is better than nothing. Mind you NYE resolutions are just that....a spark. They need to be constantly fueled in order to become a bush fire.

My glorious niece and nephew (Em 3 and Huddy 5) join Di and I today for a few days.  NYE is beach fireworks and BBQ. Will post some pics.

NYE Cigar will be Monte 2 from 82/ The year I finished high school.  A chance to reminisce, refocus and put the dots on the i's and the cross on the t's to finish off what I have started. :ok:

Nice quiet night at home myself.  I’ll have a few fingers of bourbon with the wife and may even burn something.  I’ve had a bbf in the bottom of my box that been itching to get lit.

I will be making a lot of appetizers and having a few beers with my wife, her brother and his family.  I'm hoping to get in a CoRo, but the weather is calling for cold rain.

Well a cold has been holding me down for a good week now. Just week enough to keep the dinner plans for tonight together with MLW. But will be back home before the hammer strikes! Best place to see in the new year I reckon.

So no cigar for me today. Reckon it will be a couple more days before that happens.

Happy new year to you all. *schniff*
