Popular Post JohnS Posted September 29, 2018 Popular Post Posted September 29, 2018 Okay, so here's the story. Trust me, it's a good laugh. As you may be aware, I really like having a beard. Don't ask me why, I just do. My wife, well she hates it. Always has, always will...but, she's awesome and I love her! It turns out that my daughter feels the same way. My daughter's recent graduation from Secondary school was the draw-line upon which I was required to shave it off, and on top of that dear brethren and friends...I was required to cut my hair (and apparently look good as a secondary bonus...not my words!). So about a month ago, that beard (and hair) was looking great (I'm with my wife and her sister)... Yes, so good that @ayepatz rightly pointed out that I was looking like Fidel Castro in a recent thread... Alright, so I trimmed the beard but this week was my daughter's graduation ceremony so I had to cut the hair. There was no time after work to cut the beard... The formal (or prom) ceremony was the next night so I cut the beard off. It took 45 minutes to finish the job. Seriously, my upper lip refused to be clean shaven, at times, it was a struggle! What did it feel like? It felt like I was naked on my face! Instantly, I wanted my beard back! I mean can you imagine Keith Hernandez without a moustache? Oh wait, there was one time... There is one saving grace in this story folks...my wife said I could grow back the beard in the new year. Still plenty of time to look like this guy below... 12 5
teewinot Posted September 29, 2018 Posted September 29, 2018 You look good. I generally wear a beard and think I look ok. Once, about every two years, I’ll shave it off. Out comes the double chin and the wait to grow it back. 2 1

For ME, I love your bearded look! Without your beard and clean shaven you remind me of our John Kerry, here in the States; politician, war hero, very respected member of our house and senate! One time I shaved my beard and just left chops and a mustache. Yes I looked like a 70s porn star, but I thought it was cool. At any rate, my wife cried when she saw it. She likes my beard. Oh the battle of wife vs facial hair. 1
