Guessing that the CoRo is the most expensive standard robusto, it also happens to be my favourite. Hate when that happens.

But I love the Cohiba Robusto, Party Series D4, HDM EE, RASS, and the Vegas Robaina Famosos.

I find them to typically be excellent representations of the marca and often very complex. Before I had children, they always seemed so short. Now that time is precious and I gravitate more to perlas, marevas and Monte Carlos, they seem so big and chunky. I agree that 50 RG is about the limit of my comfort level - much prefer upper 30s to lower 40s.

Then again, that could be said about Cohiba versus any other cigar no matter vitola. Anyway, I smoke robustos mainly because I love the PSD4 so damn much.

PSD4 is half the price of CORO, great value. I really like PSD4’s but it’s s strong smoke, that I don’t mind, but might be too strong for some.

Used to favor Robusto over any other vitola....great proportions of wrapper to filler, perfect length of time to smoke. Now, I’m liking the Corona Gorda the most, just feels better in my hand. Petit Coronas are getting more space in my humidor too, but I think that Robusto will always will be a staple and a reliable pick for me.

RASS would probably be in there somewhere too, I only have 1 left. Made me realize I don't think I've ever tried the Bolivar Royal Corona.

Torsion, do yourself a favor and smoke a BRC with a couple of years on it when you can. I’m not an avid smoker of these but had one a couple of days ago and it was absolutely fantastic. Not sure of the box code since I picked a few up in a sampler about a year and half ago but it was flavorful with lush smoke. One of the more enjoyable smokes I’ve had this year.

I don't favor robustos...but my favorite robustos are easily replenished. I can't say the same for my favorite lonsdales, for example.

So anytime I want anything other than a quick cigar, the robusto is hard to argue with. I can always get more.

I like the robusto vitola, I am pretty sure it was the first cigar I tried.

I hate underfilled ones, I seem to smoke them more in the cooler months or when I don't have as much time to smoke. I find they take a fair bit of (unintended) abuse, on occasion when time is really limited I can blast through one sub 45mins which is quick for me without making them too hot or distorting the taste, on the other hand I will stretch them out and change the pace to enjoy really slowly.

Some serious smokes recently have been aged Epi 2 - blowing my mind with the ones I have from '12. PSD4 is a classic staple, my '14s are almost gone - they also have been quite outstanding. Not forgetting the king of inconsistency (IMO) the mighty CoRo - love/hate relationship with these. Been smoking more of these this year.

RASS would probably be in there somewhere too, I only have 1 left. Made me realize I don't think I've ever tried the Bolivar Royal Corona!

Not had enough JL in general to comment.

Bolivar Royal Corona, is a must try in my opinion. There is not one friend of mine that didnt say it was great. I am new to CC's so I'm trying the different marcas. It's a fun adventure, but so far BRC's and BPC's are my favorite. I need more. I guess the BBF will be my next to try. Take care brother.

I have a fair amount of robustos in stock as it’s a crowd pleaser and I consider it a workehorse vitola but I don’t smoke alot of robustos. Probably smoked more years ago. I find it a little too short and wide RG for me. I’ll deal with it, but not my favorite.

I'm a BOOS.

I say BUS, although I think you're technically correct...  BOOS sounds Spanish, are we supposed to be pronouncing it with a Spanish accent since it's from Cuba?

As for the vitola, I smoke mostly smaller cigars due to time constraints (as an extreme example, I had to relight an HUHC at least 6 times this morning because I had to keep setting it down - even typing this post, I've been interrupted twice) and tend to prefer a slightly smaller rg most of the time, but the robusto is a good size in general, it just seems to work for a lot of blends.

To me it’s the perfect size and as stated previously it doesn’t really need to be focused on to be enjoyed, great for when with a group

It's not my favorite size. it's a little too big of a RG but time wise it's perfect and there are some great cigars in that size.

One of my favorites is the RyJ Short Churchill for when I don't have time to smoke a full RyJ Churchill.

How much down time to you give your R&J ? I have a young box from April this year and definitely needs some time.

The one's I'm smoking now have box codes of February 2017.
